Yeah, the degree to which the story is integrated into the gameplay loop and the central mechanics actually make sense instead of just being there for the sake of the game is really quite impressive. And then there are just so many delightful character interactions and side quests. I was particularly fond of Achilles'.

Money, probably...

That's presuming productivity remains the same and wages are adjusted to still pay people as though they worked full weeks (meaning there's no change in the amounts of money involved either way), as is generally the premise of any compressed schedule ideas. Zeus seems to be suggesting that the idea is fundamentally wrong, not that it's a bad idea because it would compromise productivity. There have, in fact, been a number of 4-day week experiments (most recently, Iceland conducted a major one (https://www.bbc.com/news/business-57724779)) that have found that productivity either remains the same or improves overall, while work-life balance, mental health, and other measures of general well-being get a whole lot better.

He is correct that, if 4-day weeks become the norm, there will be people proposing a 3-day week instead, but that's going to go one of two ways:
  • Studies will be conducted that find that it does result in productivity losses that are not outweighed by other benefits, in which case the idea will be shot down on those grounds
  • Studies will find that productivity remains the same, in which case there's no reason not to adopt the idea
Either way, there's no reason to bring up the idea as though the mere thought of people asking for it is enough to justify refusing a 4-day week. Data can be collected to determine whether or not it's a problem, and an informed decision made from there instead of relying on knee-jerk emotional reactions to deviating from an established norm.

I think the real problem is you ask this question but not the implications of focusing all of your video game violence on male NPCs. That speaks volumes.

Focusing VG violence on male NPC's is all but impossible to separate from the background of not deliberately gendering your VG violence, given that so many targets in violent games are male. If one did deliberately choose to target males all the time, that would be more or less an equal red flag (though it may also be a consequence of how frowned upon hurting women is, in which case it's not "I specifically want to hurt men" and instead "I specifically don't want to hurt women"), but good luck actually noticing such a trend.

Eeyup. If you don't have the time, energy, or interest to do a proper garden (and, to be fair, many don't, and that's okay), clover looks mostly the same, never grows high enough to warrant mowing, uses vastly less water, never needs fertilizing (in fact, if you have a 50/50 clover/grass lawn, the clover will fix enough nitrogen to sustain the grass without added fertilizing), outcompetes most weeds, can still be walked on as desired, flowers occasionally so it's not just boring green all the time, and actually benefits pollinators. Grass lawns are a useless, idiotic relic of a period when they actually did show wealth, clung to by posers who haven't clued in that nobody actually believes that anymore and people who've never actually put any sort of thought into why such a wasteful status quo exists.

I mean, if we're actually looking for anything resembling objective rankings, you have to look at a lot more than personal experience:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1fYeJpxFXZBO2UycHOz4qt90T3ZurFZKCtg07UQNZVyc/edit#gid=1880723554

The current WR for heat (61, set just a week ago, actually) uses Zeus Shield, the top 10 runs are split between that, Rama Bow, and Beowulf Shield, then other aspects and weapons start showing up. Fists don't show up until #23, but all weapons are represented somewhere in the 55+ range, which pretty clearly just indicates that they're all good enough to push high heat and you can do just fine by using whatever's most enjoyable/comfortable for your personal preference.

That said, good job, that's a nice run.

I also know that you aren't really so out of touch with reality as to have missed the endless reminders that masks are substantially more effective for keeping diseases like Covid in than they are for keeping them out, meaning wearing a mask is more a matter of protecting people around you (and, by extension, not wearing one is endangering those people) than of protecting yourself. Zag spear is pretty much useless without one of the special-buffing hammers (or at least, it offers nothing unique or valuable in any way). Achilles is pretty much just vanilla casting with an extra step, which is good for cast builds, but nothing particularly interesting in its own right. Hades is just not good (or if you can make it good, you pretty much need Quick Spin to actually get the buff going). Guan Yu is also pretty dependent on Quick Spin to take advantage of its special charge (and if you aren't doing that, there's little point in picking Guan Yu).

So... Achilles is so good and doesn't require hammer upgrades to be viable. The rest, not so much.

Analogies do not require the numbers to be the same. Only the logic.

Of course, your numbers are innately flawed because serious car accidents are vastly rarer than covid infections. The US sees ~6 million accidents of any severity per year (of which only a relatively small fraction are serious enough for not wearing a seatbelt to cause death). Meanwhile, they've seen 36.7 million covid cases in 17 months (~25 million per year, if we average that). If you're going to compare statistics, you need to ensure they're actually comparable before doing so.

Mostly, I think the issue with Rama/Chiron is that you pretty much need to adjust your boon picks depending on which hammers you get, since that's what determines whether you should be focusing on attacks or specials. That's an extra level of flexibility that you don't need for other weapons, which can be off-putting and frustrating if you get unlucky.

Without doing any actual research on the subject, my general impression is that the more moderate proponents (that is, the ones that identify benefits but don't treat it as the holy grail of medicinal substances) generally don't make a big deal out of heart benefits, but the more moderate opponents (that is, the ones that identify some harms but don't treat it as a one-way ticket to meth addiction) also don't make a big deal out of it causing heart problems. From this very scientific and not at all unreliable assessment, I can conclude that it's mostly neutral, as far as cardiac health goes.
