Yeah, this is exactly what Lisa is saying.

And as youth wing leader Lisa is able to put pressure on leading politicians in the current Government. Something more young folk could do if they got involved in politics. Our major parties all got youth wings and they are not without power internally within the parties and the more members the youth wings have the more pressure they can put on the party leaders.

If she decided to run for office and got elected, she wouldnt be the first member of Riksdagen who is 18.

In the current Riksdag (2018-2022) 7% are 18-29, 56% is 30-49, 35% is 50-64 and 2% is 65+.

Lisa said that it will never be enough to just make demands without coming with solutions yourself. Becoming involved in politics is more important than being an activist (opposite of what Greta says). The solutions to the climate crisis will not be party politically neutral. If young people want change then they need to enter politics because if a portion of all who participate in Gretas global protest organisation got involved in politics, then they could steer the direction of ruling parties with sheer numbers.

Sweden and Norway only have existed in their current forms since 1905 when the United Kingdoms of Sweden and Norway broke up.

Denmark has only existed in their current forms since 1814 when the Danish-Norwegian Union was split up after Sweden took possession of Norway at the end of the Napoleonic Wars.

Magdalena Magda The Bulldozer Andersson was officially elected new leader of the Socialdemocrats earlier today at the partys national congress.

The SocDems currently govern which mean that she could become our first female Prime-Minister. Each new PM must be elected by Riksdagen (our Legislative body) however.

Current PM Stefan Lfven is retiring of his own choice. He is 64 years old.

There were no tie-breaking rules in place so 4(!) countries won in 1969. Several countries boycotted the 1970 edition in protest and rules were put in place to solve eventual ties.
