If she is elected shell be our first female PM. At 16:00 Riksdagen vote for the 2022 State budget and there are 5 budget proposals: the transition Governments budget proposal (SocDems and Greens), a joint one by the Conservatives, Nationalists and Christian Democrats, and individual ones by the Far-Left, Neoliberals and Liberals. Yes, the choice of new PM can be dragged out but our legislative body Riksdagen is very productive and there are many mechanisms in place which prevent the type of gridlocks we often see in the US Congress for example. We have negative parliamentarism which mean that a bill doesnt need a majority for it to pass but it cant have a majority against it and in some important votes it is the option with the most votes which win. The bi-annual state budget control most domestic legislation and that is a vote where the most popular option win even if there isnt a majority for it. We have 8 parties in Riksdagen right now. So there is always a budget in place which mean that there is always wheels in motion so to speak. Edit: I should add that is has only been 9 days since our PM resigned since he wanna retire. If the Far-Left MPs vote no then Magda will have a majority against her. Were less than 10 months away from our next national election so can the Far-Left just get on with the show? This is not like when the Far-Left stopped a bill on market rental in new apartment buildings this Summer - that action had public support. They seem to think they will regain the momentum they got from that by stalling now but it will likely backfire on this issue.
