Why is this? Is it a debilitating chronic health condition that doesn't let you have any quality of life? If so, I'd urge you to see specialists and get a second opinion that might give you more hope of a normal life. If it's agoraphobia, you should know that it can respond to treatment, which is made easier if you have a support system like friends, family, or a significant other. If it's treatment resistant mental illness like a personality disorder, don't give up! The prognosis for some things can be poor, but there are people that specialize in helping just about any kind of mental disorder, even the ones nobody else will touch.

If you are just stuck and feel like there is no way out, please at least try seeing someone. I'm disabled myself in real life, and I know much that shit can suck and just how odd circumstances will be. I hope you find something to make life better for you, man. <3

If you used it only famous people or on regular people very cleverly, you'd never be caught. Having the Death Note would make you the ruler of the world. You could get any laws you wanted passed and create or end wars on a whim by including an elaborate death (dictator X dies after having outlawed circus peanuts). You could probably kill evil relatives specifying that a long future death and leaving you their magic lottery winnings. For getting rid of personal enemies, just make them take a long vacation and die of random violence nowhere near you.

Absolute power that couldn't be resisted for long by anyone. If 10 random people of above-average intelligence were gifted Death Notes and never revealed them to anyone, I wonder how much our world would change?

The title doesn't match the tweet. There is no indication in what you posted that Russia is preparing for war with the US, only that they may be preparing for casualties as a result of a military action.

The general consensus is that The Odin Project is better, but if I recall correctly, you actually do part of FreeCodeCamp for The Odin Project. I already know how to code (I do it as a hobby, not professionally) but I didn't care for the lack of rigor with FreeCodeCamp. TOP has more depth, and requires more of you as a student.

I'm not completely comfortable with the assumptions people are making in this topic about what Duncan can and can't do, and why that might be. In my own post, I hadn't meant to suggest that his parents were abusive, I only wished to point out the fact that they could be, and that sufficiently abusive parents can render their child unable to function. Sometimes that can be fixed, and sometimes it can't.

Disabilities come in all shapes and sizes, and people can be quick to project their own experiences and expectations on others. Take epilepsy for example. It can be controlled in some people and not in others. Some of those unfortunate folks can work, and others are stuck on disability. Knowing a guy who has epilepsy and has a career doesn't mean some other guy can do the same thing. I'm physically disabled myself, and I've known plenty of disabled people, some successful and some not. Some had lives improved by aid, and some didn't. It's really quite varied.

I hope Ducan is either a troll or somebody who can find some success in life. Maybe it's close to being off topic, but I just wish folks understood that there is a lot more going on with being disabled than just what you can see.

I was randomly checking my Kindle recommendations a while ago, and all of the sudden there was a number of suggested photo books featuring sexy, fully-clothed Japanese women. Further on, there were books full of (I assume) tasteful erotic nudity. I was shocked, and frankly, I have no idea why those were suggested (I read horror, science fiction, and craft books). I've seen photo books for sale on websites that specialize in Japanese products, but I had no idea the genre was popular enough in the West to merit an actual category, and some of them were even available on Kindle Unlimited.

I don't follow your posts so I don't know your story. Why are you dependent on your mother? How might you escape from the life you currently lead if you had to? What would you do if she died or disowned you? You don't have to answer any of these questions! Please, just think about them. I know that being disabled or disadvantaged in America can suck balls, but you need to start thinking about how you might get away from your mother and be your own man.

I don't know if guy is a troll or not, but I would like you to know that situations like his can be very real and very hard to get out of. Failure and lack of interest on the part of his parents are not the only possible motive: it can be malicious and intentional. Parents with Cluster B Personality Disorders are infamous for doing incredible things to their children for their own benefit. The abuse itself can leave a person unable to function normally without serious counseling, counseling that the abusive parent(s) can prevent you from getting. They can also isolate you socially so that nobody believes what is going on. Or if you started off as disabled, they can just cut you off from resources, keep your disability money so you can't even ride the bus, control your access to doctors, and gaslight the people around you into thinking you are the problem so that nobody will help you.

Sorry man, but it eats me up inside whenever people make posts suggesting problems can be solved if you just try. In the United States, just being disabled can be like falling into a black hole if you didn't get some huge settlement from your disability or if you don't have folks around to help you. And it is just the absolute worst if you get an evil parent (or two!). The things that can be done to people in disadvantaged situations like this is almost beyond belief.

Is Biden just saying that's what the money is for, or is the money going to come with a legal requirement that it get spent that way? It could easily be like with ISPs where the government gives huge handouts to companies to give Americans faster internet, they pocket the money, and the government does nothing. Now, if Biden is actually planning on pushing police reform through additional spending, great! But this could easily just be something he is saying to shut people up because just giving police more money with no strings attached is not popular.

ED honestly sucks balls, especially if your doctor can't figure out the cause.

It's absolutely worth playing if you can find the time.

How does one avoid living in an area like that? Prior to the massive increase in police and ticketing scam, it sounds like it was a nice small town given the level of crime. How would you ever know to avoid a place like that, especially when travelling?

Yeah, look at Congress passing all of that legislation the American people want! Oh wait...Seriously, I always vote Democrat and I'm super disappointed in Biden's presidency so far. Not electing Trump or more Republican congress critters was a no brainer, but more and more, it feels like Democrats are just controlled opposition. Both sides take too much money from corporate donors for there to be a big lurch from the status quo.

I came here to make this exact post. Only lightweights would need days and days to eat a cake of this size. If you struggle TC, get some delicious vanilla ice cream and let it melt over a hunk of cake. Mmmmmm.

I'm severely allergic to latex (balloons can be deadly over time, and finding random rubber bands is delightful), but am merely sensitive to bananas and pineapple. I've tried talking my doctor into giving me an allergy panel for years so that I can feel more comfortable trying new foods, but so far no dice.

Do be on the lookout for developing new allergies. Some allergies--like latex--can get worse each time you are exposed, and can expand to cover other things too.

I've been sick the past couple of weeks on top of some existing health problems, and so time seems to be moving at the same endlessly slow pace it has been moving at since COVID first hit. 2020 was one of the worst years of my life, and 2021 only managed to be a marginal improvement. Not sure how to feel about the coming year---I lost internet for two weeks and have had to make some expensive purchases to replaced damaged stuff. Feels a tad cursed so far.

It took 8 years for a verdict and there is such a low cap on damages? That's insane. The fact that it specifically covers "non-economic" damages means it is a law that targets regular people rather than corporate people. That just sucks.

The fact that we are nothing all that special and almost certainly just stop existing when we die never bothered me much when I was younger. But now that I'm in my 30s and have had more relatives die, it really has started to weigh on my mind. I don't particularly feel good about the direction the world is moving in either. Will people born today live to see the collapse of human society? It seems a terrible cosmic joke that people are born, have complex minds and emotions, and then die shortly thereafter. Even more so if a relatively similar fate awaits our species as a whole.

The quality of human life is disturbing too. For the vast majority of the time humans have had civilization, the conditions were appalling. Antibiotics were invented less than a century ago. Human lives used to be brutal and short, even for the extremely privileged.
