I think the waifu is easily the best choice. You'll get an unrealistic woman of your dreams that will be completely loyal and never leave you. The AI part hardly matters. I mean, do people have souls? If not, what would the difference be between the AI waifu and a real person?

I came into this topic to post both of these. Symphonia was a great game but had terrible dungeons for some reason. The first Imprisoned boss fight wasn't fun, and for some reason Nintendo decided to make you do the same fight over and over again with increased difficulty. Yuck.

What do you base that on? These powers are broad, aren't limited to crimes against children or terrorism (which is what they are claimed to be needed for), and virtually every reasonable suggestion for altering the law to limit abuse was simply ignored.

Any effort to humanize the Sacklers is without meaning or value. They have made money hand over fist on the suffering and/or deaths of millions of people, intentionally. They have expressed no sympathy, no remorse, and no real regret for any of this. The only thing they have sought is to deflect blame, avoid any consequences for their actions, and to basically keep all their money (or somehow make even more? Not totally clear on this part).

This is brutal dictator level bullshit, and they got away with it free and clear. They caused all this human misery, they don't feel bad about it, they don't even really acknowledge it, and they get to go on living the high life as free members of society. Even worse than the Sackler's themselves is the system of "justice" that allowed them the freedom to get away with their crimes free and clear.

Anyone who respects American law or courts after this needs their head examined. When you go to vote (if you can still vote after all the voter restriction laws that have been passed recently), you are presented with your choice of which wealthy, well-connected, out of touch asshole you want to vote for. While their are differences between the parties, in the end, they all collectively pass whatever they want with little regard for public opinion, and the laws they pass aren't for them, only the poor and middle class. Occasionally someone who is rich or political who isn't quite rich enough or connected enough gets some kind of punishment, but in the end, the rich decide the rules we must obey and are themselves never bound by.

It's absolutely disgusting!

You're an adult, aren't you? If so, you should already know how to do your own laundry, and you shouldn't feel the need to prove you possess a basic life skill to your mother. In fact, as an adult, what your mother thinks of you shouldn't matter much at all.

Take out a piece of paper and a pencil. Think of every basic life task that needs to be done routinely and make a list. Examples include: doing laundry, taking out the trash, paying bills, making your bed, cooking, etc. If you don't know how to do one or more of those basic things yourself, or if you think you do but don't have the experience, learn and practice. You need to be capable of living 100% on your own before you live with another person or you'll be dead weight and engender resentment. An exception would be if you were disabled enough to need an assistant or caregiver, but I'm assuming that isn't the case here.

Good luck!

What percentage is "many"? Everything I've heard about Japan and sex suggests they are actually fairly conservative socially. I find this a shocking claim.

Also, in terms of being socially conservative, I had a really bad experience with a Japanese language instructor. I'm in a wheelchair, and she talked to me like a child, pretended I wasn't there when I didn't drop the class, and actually asked if the wheelchair she saw belonged to someone in the class, in a tone like "they let one of those in here?!". When I was in high school, the lone Japanese exchange student we had took one look at my wheelchair and would never speak to me.

I know, a sample size of two isn't huge, but it was two totally unrelated people displaying the same negative behavior was kind of alarming being the person the receiving end.

Not really honesty. Its more now of just letting the person be with comfortable with you so they open up. A lot of times, a suspect just doesnt click with the officer or detective and theyll switch out
It is no way to the benefit of any person to "open up" to police during questioning. The only possible good outcome would be the officers letting you go without charging you with anything, and a lawyer can communicate your innocence better than you can. If you are guilty of something, the best plea deal you'll get will be negotiated between the prosecutor and your lawyer.

Talking to cops only hurts you regardless of your guilt.

It certainly does feel like it, doesn't it? But then again, lots of people have thought that over the years. Without question, Western civilization seems to be in decline. Whether or not that decline is terminal or not remains to be seen. The climate crisis looks like it could eventually doom us all because humanity is collectively too stupid and tribal to work toward a common goal.

TopicRepublican Arrested For Underaged Sex Trafficking
darkmaian23

The next time Republicans control the three branches of government, I predict the law will be changed so that it becomes impossible to arrest or charge the political elite with any crimes. I'm surprised this isn't already a thing. You already can't hold politicians, judges, or prosecutors liable for the duties they perform. This would just be one step further.

People say crimes like this are the absolute worst and that everybody but the criminals themselves agree, but that is false. If a person is well-liked enough or socially powerful enough, nobody really cares what they do. Donald Trump's fan base doesn't care about him inspecting underage girls at pageants, or about all the allegations of underage sex or his connections with Epstein. It's all either fake news or OK because he is God's imperfect instrument of His divine whatever. There are still some rumblings about his taxes or his financial crimes, but under the Biden administration, there is zero will to hold him accountable for anything real. I think the DOJ is still handling one of the lawsuits of an alleged victim for him.

It's not just underage sex, either. Bush started the Forever War on Terror that destabilized the Middle East, killed and maimed countless civilians, ate through our service men and women like candy, and set the stage for the government to wipe its ass with the Bill of Rights. He still lives like a king and is fondly remembered by many. He will never face justice, and the number of his victims is far higher than this dirtbag's could possibly be.

When the special or powerful do get punished, it seems to be at random. Derek Chauvin slowly murdered a man with the world watching, and they still tried to sweep it under the rug. It might have worked too without the huge protests nationwide. Some cops get arrested for doing far less and face punishment, but many never do. Some even get rewarded with long stretches of paid leave while the department covers its ass.

Mark my words, sooner rather than later, these types will be set free and nobody like them who has money or political power will ever be arrested again (unless maybe they are a Democrat?).

If someone hits you and it isn't something you solicited (like a sex thing), it's time to get out. Physical abuse is never a one time thing. Often, abusive people have a history of doing things like that and have been holding back until you get reeled in. And if they don't have a history of violence, they soon will. Once you cross a line, it becomes easier to do again.

If the abusive person is female, you're also in kind of a tight spot because police tend to see men as the aggressor or just kind of ignore it altogether if you're both women.
