Trump was fine, because despite his rhetoric and the constant media-smearing, he was accomplishing a lot of things I wanted him to accomplish, with regards to strengthening border security, military/defense upkeep, keeping us out of wars, focusing more on energy independence, encouraging projects to source American steel and other resources, etc. etc.

okay, let's go point by point on this:

what Trump did for border security is fleece his voter base out of MILLIONS of dollars constructing border fences that don't do jack shit to curb illegal immigration, lying and saying that he was gonna have Mexico pay for it when that was never going to happen, ultimately having gullible americans pay for it proudly and claim "oh what he meant was he's gonna have Mexico pay for it with all the great DEALS he's gonna set up for international trade". oh yeah, and most of the money they forked over didn't even go toward building the wall, it just lined Trump's pockets (or more likely was used to pay down his massive foreign debts).

what Trump did for military/defense upkeep is...... well, absolutely nothing as a matter of fact. Cadet Bone Spurs doesn't know the first thing about the military and national defense.

what Trump did to keep us out of wars is again, nothing. the conflicts in the middle east raged on all throughout his term, and he both alienated all of the US' traditional allies and cozied up to all of its traditional enemies, all of whom never viewed Trump as an equal or ally, just as a useful idiot, leaving us alone on the world stage as a mockery.

what Trump did to focus on "energy independence" is, again, alienating all of the US' traditional allies, as well as rolling back environmental protection laws and withdrawing the US from a global climate change mitigation agreement so that corporations who produce energy in unclean, unsustainable ways didn't have to worry about all that red tape in doing their thing anymore.

and what Trump's attempts at "encouraging projects to source American steel" actually did was just impose massive tariffs on imports, and all that did was lead to higher steel prices across the board and lower demand.

so, in short, Trump didn't do jack shit.

yeah. when i first heard about it a couple weeks ago i though it sounded stupid and gimmicky and couldn't believe how it got so popular so quickly. then i tried it and i was like okay that was kinda fun, but whatever. then the next day i felt compelled to play it again. and again the next day. and the next. now i'm addicted, lol.

i was raised in a household where good home cooking was the norm, and as an adult i learned everything about cooking that my Italian mother had to teach me, then i learned more, then i taught her a few things, so i guess i've never really been away from good fucking food for long enough to say "finally" when i get back to it.

A lot of the noise surrounding Joe is because the news model of paying prime time guys 10-20 million a year to brainwash people into wars and division is failing. Trump is out of office and ratings nosedived at most of the networks. Why else do sex scandals and convenient scandals seem to get people fired or suspended at an increasing pace? Matt Lauer, Megan Kelly, Whoopie Goldberg, Cuomo, O'Reilly etc.

Joe is a target because he's made of moneybags and he broadcasts people with alternative opinions (ahem, anti-war among other things). That's it in a nutshell. Misinformation is secondary. CNN / FOX / MSNBC made their names on that. They're just jealous that they're being tuned out. There's nothing pure about big media trying to take down the 5 foot manlet.

huh, the first i ever remember hearing of Jordan Peterson was about his book 12 Rules for Life and how he represented himself as some infallible self-help guru while at the same time being a complete wreck and disaster himself and being hypocritical about the shit he espouses. i didn't learn about the transphobic shit until after that, so i was under the impression that came afterward, but clearly not, if 12 Rules for Life was only published in 2018. i swear it seems like it was farther back than that. you learn something new every day.
