I stopped watching after the ending of Infinity War tbqh

I kinda feel that way. At least in terms of the overall story arc. I'll still watch individual movies and such, but you can miss me with all that "watch a 10 hour series, then another, then another" stuff if you want me to keep following it.

The past few movies were not that great. No Way Home was probably the best movie since Endgame but was still average.

I will say, the new Doctor Strange is looking crisp. I'll probably see that one.

"The MCU should have ended with Endgame" is the dumbest shit. Marvel never began or ended with Thanos and only a small fraction of the content was touched

after getting caught up with everything, I probably agree with that sentiment.

I liked Far From Home and Shang-Chi (until its final act), and thought that No Way Home was alright.

and while the rest of the offerings were entertaining, idk if I would have cared about them if they weren't a part of the MCU, but I'm getting to the point where I might not really care about where all of this stuff is leading to.

All these multiverse shenanigans not only bringing back past franchises, but we're also going to get proper versions of the F4 and X-Men finally.

But its true, I DONT care about anything after Endgame. It doesnt need to be a forever thing, they told an amazing and complete superhero saga in a unique way over 10 years. It can just be a completed work.

The sky is really the limit now with the MCU. Before the fox merger, and even the Sony stuff, you wouldn't expect much. Maybe some interesting stories with characters that they had. But now they have pretty much everything.

The cgi is much better now, so they can take actors that are getting old and de-age them if they wanted to bring them back. They can basically take any comic book story and make it reality. 10 years ago I would never have imagined them pulling off what they did in No way home. Now Doctor strange 2 looks like they're about to blow open the door.

I'm happy just watching them whenever they come to Disney Plus now tbh

Pretty much. I'll still watch something that seems interesting, but the grand overarching thing feels like a one and done deal. It'll still make its billions, but I don't know if they'll ever reach the same levels with the current lineup.

You really don't understand Marvel Comics. They are intended to go on forever. Like was said above, they still have only touched a tiny portion of what exists in the comics. There is still a fucking massive list of characters and story lines they can use

The comics have been telling a continuous story since 1961

Just because they can doesnt mean they should. Superhero fatigue was already setting in before Endgame even happened, now with Disney+ added to it im just completely numb to the MCU. I can only take so much CGI and quippy leads and same general plot formulas.

What if I didn't care about it before that

Yeah, youll win when Sony puts out their clunkers, but most of the MCU the past couple years has been fire.

Shang Chi was #2 domestically. Whats the excuse for that one?

Black Widow was 4. Eternals 6. Even Venom 2 was 3

Shang Chi and NWH were pretty dope.

Eternals and Black Widow were "bleh".

as for the Disney Plus shows, i enjoyed all of them so far, specially Wandavision, Loki and Hawkeye.

I'd watch Guardians 3 and Thor 4, but in general, Endgame was a good conclusion to the MCU. I've had enough of it.

I care, just not enough where I'm seeing things in theaters anymore. I did see Spiderman in theaters but Eternals, Black Widow and Shang Chi I waited until they hit streaming for. I might see Strange just because they're already established and I'm already invested from the movies and Wandavision, but the only ones I know I'm seeing in theaters are Black Panther 2 and Captain America 4.

When you factor in the D+ shows I can see someone who was keeping up pre-Endgame getting overwhelmed. But the plot hasn't stopped and the stakes are keeping up.

i'm mentioning him since they teased him at the end of Eternals so i'm sure he'll get his own movie sooner or later. lol

Aside from the Spider-Man movies, I stopped caring after Age of Ultron. Probably didn't care long before that. Was never much of a comic fan.

What keeps me coming back to these movies is that I like the characters they've developed, and I enjoy seeing their further adventurers and development. So the only thing that's really changed for me personally is that Cap was not only my favorite character, but also the heart of the MCU; his absence is becoming increasingly noticeable, and that's going to be a tough role for any existing character to fill. I've loved Sam since he first appeared onscreen, but he worked best with Steve and doesn't quite have the same magic with Bucky.

Beyond that, as far as I'm concerned they're still trucking along with much the same momentum / consistency of quality that they've had since Phase 2. Shang-Chi was great, NWH gave plenty of nostalgic warm fuzzies, the D+ shows have all been enjoyable, and the worst they seem to be capable of are flicks like BW and Eternals which, while underwhelming, were still enjoyable enough that I didn't feel like I wasted my time (by contrast, Venom 2 did feel like a waste of two hours of my life).

Hugh was great as was both Magnetos. Cyclops got did dirty though.

I didn't care about the MCU before Endgame, then after Endgame came out I watched the entire MCU, and haven't cared about it since then.

when I get a new TV that I can use Disney+ on I'll watch the new stuff >_>

Wolverine, Professor X and Magneto were about the only characters they truly nailed in those movies.

And I guess Deadpool if you want to count him.

I'm interested in Dr. Strange 2, Thor 4, and Guardians 3. And some of the shows. I don't know if I care all that much beyond those. We'll see what they come out with.

I'm feeling that way about superhero stuff in general.

My interest has really fallen off a cliff, and there's too much stuff to keep up with now.

I was done with the Disney+ stuff after Falcon and Winter Soldier, and I haven't watched any since.

I heard Peacemaker is good, but I just don't care to watch it. Haven't even seen the Suicide Squad.

I saw the new Spiderman, and it was fine, but whatever.
