If not wearing a mask in densely crowded indoor spaces is life to you then great? You sound like you have a very shitty life. But you do you. Keep unnecessarily exposing yourself and others to a virus you can help prevent the spread of.

I don't understand why you want to live in fear for the rest of your life and think masks are gods gift to men.

Who said that? I have been living life by going to restaurants and having friends over at my place. Been to several larger weddings when things were relatively under control. Masks were optional because it was assumed that the people invited were vaccinated (which probably almost everyone was).

Why take a risk in a public indoor space where people touch everything? Why is wanting people to wear masks in such a setting in line with wanting people to "live in fear"? You do understand that cases are rising again right? That doesn't just happen magically and without reason. If only there were things people could do to mitigate that. Dang.

Yes? People have called the cops on their neighbors thinking the sounds from their movies/video games are real gunshots. And I doubt those people had commercial grade premium sound equipment in their houses and were blasting at a high volume.

Why is it so hard to imagine that people in a movie theater would not be able to discern a real gunshot from one they are expecting one to hear on-screen?

It was recommended by her doctors that she avoid all vaccines in the future. So yea, there are justified grounds for her exemption.

Didn't see this part, but you're right. There is a doctor's written notice that she should avoid vaccines in the future. I'm not sure if universities are within their right to legally deny admission for medical exemptions like this, but they are a private university.

It should be noted that while getting a flu vaccine is associated with triggering GBS, having the flu is an even more likely trigger for GBS. For the COVID vaccine, there is an association but no causal relationship with GBS (for the J&J vaccine only, the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines have so far not been associated with GBS at all).

blu posted...
What if you were paralyzed from the waist down for over a month recently because of a vaccine?

I'd also be wary of taking the vaccine. But I probably wouldn't go out of my way to get a medical exemption. If that was my only episode of having GBS and there hasn't been any associated instances of GBS with the COVID vaccine, I would consider getting it. But I also have the privilege of being in the medical profession and understanding these illnesses (and firsthand being involved in treatment of patients with GBS), so I can understand why an 18 year old would be worried about getting it.

Getting an extremely rare side effect to a completely different vaccine is not grounds for medical exemption. This chick is off her rocker if that's her claim. What about all the other vaccines she was probably required to receive throughout her life for school? Or was there a "medical exemption" for those too?

I'd absolutely be wary of vaccines too if I had a complication with one I had received in the past but it's a stretch to turn basically turn fear into a medical exemption.

You guys must go to some really shitty movie theaters. There are some screens that are massive (not including IMAX). With these larger screens requires larger and louder sound systems. It's not hard to understand how you would completely disregard a real gunshot for an on-screen one if you have been to a Cinemark XD or IMAX showing.

Sound not even being a concern, how would you see a gunshot if you are in a completely different part of the theater? What if the suspect was behind you?

Y'all need to go out more or just use your imaginations instead of just saying "nah impossible".

You also are not taking into account moviegoers themselves. Maybe they're hard of hearing or old or demented or thought they heard something but chalked it up to the movie. They could literally have been sleeping when the gunshots happened. My wife slept straight through most of 1918 in the movie theater. How the fuck you sleep through a movie where there are loud ass explosions and gunshots throughout I will never understand.

I went to an all guys Catholic school from 9-12 (class of 2009) and surprisingly they were extremely tolerant of gay people. We had a couple of gay kids in my class and the administration was serious about making sure they weren't bullied.

A few of the teachers were progressive and didn't give a fuck about teaching ultra conservative values. The ones that did never forced it down anyone's throats. They tried to argue why masturbating and having abortions were immoral with a few of my classmates but were otherwise harmless.

Even had people of different faiths (Jewish, Muslim, Hindu), none of them ever felt uncomfortable having to take mandatory theology classes or go to monthly mass. Everyone was pretty chill with each other at my school. It was actually a fun time. Didn't hate high school as much as I thought I would.

2B was just too hot. Seriously I couldn't really focus on what made the game or story unique. Because every time I climbed a ladder or did a sprint, I would just stare at 2B's behind. Every story moment or cutscene was just overshadowed by 2B's presence. At times I would just walk around and stare at the animation of it.

Of course having well designed characters is important to a game. But at a certain point it really becomes a detriment. They did a great job designing 2B as sexy and fluid as possible. And for that reason I don't even want to play the game. When I see 2B, I want to actually quit the game and go have a nut. Yes, this character design was so good that it makes the game hard to continue playing.

Or point to a good video on Youtube that explains it well? I actually really enjoyed playing through ending A and ending B and kept thinking "oh man ending C is gonna be fucking crazy". But there was no "holy shit" moment for me. I didn't really feel surprised by anything that was going on, possibly because I had no idea what the fuck was going on. I kept waiting for something to be explained or revealed that would tie everything together...nothing clicked for me. Ended up just watching endings D and E on Youtube.

Overall I enjoyed the game but it left me not satisfied. The story just felt so convoluted and all over the place, which is a shame because the setting and background for everything was very intriguing (aliens, sentient AI robots, androids, moon base, surrealist themes). I felt like the game was trying to be a lot more than it was giving off.

has anyone been strapped down to a chair and been forced to take a vaccine against their will? No. You are "literally" spewing shit.

I work in a hospital that made national news about suspending their workers for not getting the vaccine. We had been administrating them for about 5 months before the hospital had made the vaccine mandatory. These workers had 5 full months to get their minds wrapped around the fact that if they don't get the vaccine they're out of a job. No one forced them to get it. They all got fired after a few weeks of being suspended.

If you want to be a part of society, you gotta do what the rest of society is doing. If you don't, then that's on you. You can be one of the people that says society is to blame for all their problems instead of getting over your ego. It's like refusing to get a cell phone and expecting people to bend over backwards to get into contact with you.

This is true. Towards the beginning when I got stuck I looked at a guide and the complete map is crazy big and made me think I might not be able to get into the game. When you get to the 3rd or 4th area, though, the world starts feeling more manageable. The shade soul being left behind does suck because I don't want to lose all my geo, but it has also helped me brute force my way through bosses that I might have otherwise given up on and eventually left the game. A big problem I have is how far save points are. I dunno if this is a staple of metriodvanias or if this is just HK, but not autosaving/having checkpoints more often than one or twice a level adds unnecessary tedium imo

That's why it's great on the switch. Just turn it off whenever and pick up immediately where you left off. I just started a new playthrough and I feel like it's more enjoyable the 2nd Time around. I remember finding the game very difficult and confusing the first time I played
