Rich Bigot Bastards, Anthony and Barbara Scarpo, a wealthy Florida Couple has filed a LAWSUIT demanding a Catholic School that their daughters attend RETURN their $240,000 donation and reimburse their daughter's TUITION because they were teaching "woke" LGBTQ curriculum!!

They pledged to donate $1.35 million to the Academy of the Holy Names in Tampa at a fundraising event in 2017 and asked that the money be used toward the school's "master plan" for scholarships for disadvantaged students

By 2018, they already paid $240K toward their pledge and raised 9 million for the school and they even renamed their auditorium to the Scarpo Family Theatre

But the rich pricks who own a diamond and jewelry import company at First Trust Funding Group are now suing the school to reimburse ALL of their money back after taking their daughter's out when they found out they were teaching LGBTQ acceptance.

They also ask they stop advertising itself as a Catholic Institution and the florida Catholic conference stop accrediting them as such

They said they distanced themselves from traditional family catholic teachings and is embracing "woke culture" where priority is given to gender identity, human sexuality and pregnancy termination

They also said the school makes white kids feel geuilty about their race for having enough money to attend there as tuition ranges from 14K to 22K

Anthony wrote "The continued indoctrination of your twisted version of social and racial justice, equity, inclusion, sexuality and today's politically correct narrative has permeated like a stench through the halls of the Academy and been allowed to seep into the minds our children causing stress, anger, guilt and confusion. You were always eager to solicit our hard earned money and take what you could but held firm as you dragged dozens if not hundreds of conservative families and teachers through your re-imagined, highly progressive world even as parents and students asked you, pleaded you to stop. We did not raise our children to be money leeching socialists who accept demonic people in God's world and you are what's wrong with this country".

They argue the school tried to ally with the LGBTQ community with signs which they OPPOSE as said in their catholic beliefs

Emily Wise, a spokeswoman says these claims are false and unsubstantiated as their curriculum is and always based on Catholic Values that includes education on social justice with an emphasis on women, children, poor and marginalized groups

Gregory Hearing saying if they move forward to sue, they will countersue to ask them to pay the remaining PLEDGE which they may be required under florida law

Normally I'd say they shouldn't get anything but I feel like since it was supposedly a Catholic school they should. They donated because the school purported to be something that it's going against and it feels like the donation was gained on fake grounds.

Are catholic schools actually anti LGBT? If so why arent more people speaking out about that?

I went to an all guys Catholic school from 9-12 (class of 2009) and surprisingly they were extremely tolerant of gay people. We had a couple of gay kids in my class and the administration was serious about making sure they weren't bullied.

A few of the teachers were progressive and didn't give a fuck about teaching ultra conservative values. The ones that did never forced it down anyone's throats. They tried to argue why masturbating and having abortions were immoral with a few of my classmates but were otherwise harmless.

Even had people of different faiths (Jewish, Muslim, Hindu), none of them ever felt uncomfortable having to take mandatory theology classes or go to monthly mass. Everyone was pretty chill with each other at my school. It was actually a fun time. Didn't hate high school as much as I thought I would.

Imagine being such a pile of festering garbage that you think "gay people exist and shouldn't be treated as abominations" is an unreasonably progressive position.

They're among the slowest of major Christian denominations to do so, but yeah, they're generally more tolerant of it now than they were. It helps that the pope has explicitly said that gay people are okay, which has resulted in a rather hilarious outcry of "the pope's not a real Catholic!"
