| limp-bizkit-89 08/07/21 5:40:51 PM #21 | some degrees have a job as their end goal: for example with accounting you become an accountant, with law you become a lawyer, with medicine you become a doctor, with psychology you become a psychologist (at least in theory, no one in the US gets jobs with it, I guess mental health doesnt matter here, but in Europe and Latin America people do indeed go to the psychologist). most degrees are the opposite, you study them to say you have a degree but they dont have a job associated to them - you dont become a spanisher (not a word, I know) with a Spanish degree or a philosopher with a philosophy degree or a liberal artist with a liberal arts degree. So the idea is you look up jobs that take applicants with such degrees. in theory an advisor will tell you that, but I have never heard of a case where an advisor says do not go for a Renaissance dance theory degree if youre looking for a job, so I guess you got to research that on your own --- Keep Rollin Rollin Rollin (yeah!) |
