There's a loooooooooooooong string of world class atheletes being complete assholes. I also dont think he could have ever gone done as the GOAT, simply because of the rival opponents available to him. Evander Holyfield and Lennox Lewis were likely his biggest named opponents, and they were never going to have the same aura about them as Joe Frazier or George Foreman. Ali would still be viewed as the greatest by the masses. That said, there wasnt a more entertaining boxer to watch, IMO.
