I'll give it 8/10

It has a lot of both high and low points, but the high points are incredibly real and almost feel like something you might see from the better games on this list.

Count Bleck is a solid villain that does away with a lot of the usual silly Mario stuff and brings the story into some pretty dark places. Some of the other characters are great too, like Dimentio.

Like pyre said earlier I'd love to rate it higher out of respect but there were some points where I wasn't feeling it all that much.

1: Everything. Really. The story and gameplay are both top-notch and play into each other near flawlessly. The cast of characters is great and I always want to go around and talk to all of them after a run, whether or not they have nothing new to say. While the soundtrack might not have any songs I want to listen to in my off time it all fits the game so well that I enjoy it just for that.

2: Artemis. Best god, I'll fight you.

3: How fun the twin fists are to use. It's like they dropped a high tier fighting game character in as one of the weapon choices and hardly anything in the game knows how to deal with that.
