Game of the Month is a community project open to all B8ers where users share, discover, play and/or discuss a select few games every month. The games featured each month are chosen by YOU the users (and Lady Luck) The Basics - Each month will usually feature three games that were chosen via a random drawing from a pool of games that users nominated - For each game you beat, you get a cool point on our just-for-fun standings as well as a nomination for next month's randomized drawing - In order to receive the point and nomination, you must beat said game within the calendar month - If you beat one of the current month's games in the previous month, you can apply for a "recently beaten waiver," but you will only receive a point and no nomination should you do so - Drawing for next month's games is usually around a week before the end of the month - If you periodically keep us posted on your progress and/or talk about different aspects of the games, then everyone will think you are super awesome! Nomination Rules - You get one nomination automatically each month - You receive additional nominations each month for every selected game that you beat - Each game you nominate has to be unique from all other nominations and cannot include a game that has already been selected for GotM - Each game must be a standalone game that can be acquired and played on its own (aka cannot be DLC/expansion that requires the base game) - Nominations only carry over if you beat a selected game after the drawing for next month's games but before the end of the month - As a special feature for 2021, you have 11 supports you can use throughout the year. It's probably just because I've only played the newer ones, and because Risky's Revenge was like 8 years later, but something about it just feels... weird. Still gonna get through it, though! Also, is there any differences between the GBA Enhanced version and the original other than the brighter graphics? I also began Bug Fables and immediately loved it. I love Bug Fables a lot, but I've been busy these past few days and have mostly spent my gaming time on PC, so I'm only on Chapter 2, though maybe toward the end of it? It isn't that it seems bad (it definitely seems promising,) just not feeling like playing enough to get sucked in. Hopefully that changes at some point. I sort of regret using multiple rank ups on badge points since I am not using them all. Lolo_Guru 06/20/21 2:01:14 PM #30:	In mid-chapter 5 on Bug Fables right now. I feel like badge points are really good in this game; but not right away. It takes about half the game to get to the really good badges, as most of the early badges aren't that good. But by this point; I've got enough badges I want to use that every badge point I throw in is a good call. (admittedly, I have an hp up badge on everyone like, all the time, so I could easily take 2 levels of HP without effectively losing badge points... I might do that with my next two level ups, idk.) I've been clearing basic enemy encounters in one round without expending more than the 4 tp the victory buzz badge gives and it feels so good, enough so that I took off the Bug Me Not badge to continue actually fighting the encounters even though it's just 1 experience. --- Lolo <cite>Lolo_Guru posted [p:955239997] in June Game ... KCF0107 06/21/21 9:34:18 PM #34:	I'm in Chapter 5 of Bug Fables. I tried seeing if I could take advantage of ~~Maki~~ being a temporary party member, but they don't join you in battle if you leave the target area. I have a set up that I like in common battles (certainly not like whatever Lolo's is that allows them to finish in one turn using less than 4 TP), but I keep having to fail then adjust then fail then adjust my setup with boss battles. I'm pretty sure that I am about to face another boss battle ~~(there's a clearing just past the injured Maki with some tribesmen)~~ so we'll see just how close I can get this time before dying.
