I think that's a legitimately good story and it's in like the top 5 games cited as making grown men cry. Compare that game and its storytelling techniques and dialogue to Death Stranding. Totally different and MGS3 is substantially superior --- |

I dont buy Sam's relationships except with Fragile. Maybe I needed to read all the logs to give a shit about what's going on but they're dry and, again, technobubble masturbation. The cutscenes are amazingly shot in terms of animation and such. But the Decima engine seems unfit for these game. Putting aside whether it ever had much potential as a literal walking sim, the biggest set pieces are just obnoxious because Sam is constantly tripping between gaps of buildings in goo or falling off shit because of his momentum and failing to turn around. --- |
