Japan really should have spent alot more time investing in their rural areas rather urban. Hell do suburbs even exist in Japan? I dont hear about them at all.

Even in our fly over stats most locals have general conveniences and internet within a reasonable distance. And even then a town and city arent oftentimes isnt very far.

Yes suburbs exist in Japan. It's one of the most densely populated areas in the world. And despite living in rural Japan I have better internet than I ever had in Seattle. Again these houses aren't in rural Japan, they're literally in the middle of nowhere.

Lol, absolutely not true. It's easier to buy property as a foreigner than to rent it. As long as the realtors get the money they don't care where you're from.

This topic gets posted constantly and I live in rural Japan and we don't have those. In fact the cheapest you will fine a house is around $60,000 and that's not a house you want to live in if you can help it (old, small, possible leaky roof, etc.). These houses are in literally the middle of nowhere. No jobs, no stores, nothing. You can't just move there and live a normal life.

Not sure about Western servers, but it's generally considered rude to use duty finder for extreme or savage content without practicing or studing it first (reading a guide, watching YouTube videos, etc.). For the Moogle King you should be able to clear without practice assuming people in your group are nice enough to explain mechanics (also eventually you will do it and all the other level 50 extreme content unsynced solo very often to fill out a book you get every week with random duties in it).

There are just too many things for the CCP to ban. A web forum composed mostly of 30+ year old users who are mostly not Chinese isn't much a threat to get on the CCP's radar. I suppose they could make the Chinese Internet run with a whitelist instead of a blacklist, but that could cause issues in itself.

Also, apparently South Park was not explicitly banned in China until a few years ago when "Band in China" aired. I suppose the show usually makes fun of America so it might of been seen as device to show how terrible America is.

This is true. My wife used to watch it there, but the not explicit ban doesn't mean it was airing legally, just that pirate sites could host and discuss it. It's the same with My Hero Academia and a number of other anime. Basically you have not airing (usually can still access it illegally, making it not air legally is basically a punishment for the company, since the fans will all pirate it now) and explicitly banned (no allowed discussion of it on Chinese sites, not allowed even to pirate it). But banned things will still be used frequently by using a VPN (though these are getting harder to use). For example there is a Chinese legal Steam, Chinese legal Switch, Chinese legal PS4. But almost no one uses them because you only have like a dozen legal games on each. So instead you import them from Taiwan or Hong Kong (with Steam you just download the international version and for some reason it still lets you pick Mainland China and use RMB). However a game might get banned, meaning importers get cracked down on (this happened with Animal Crossing on Switch).

Ironically (not sure now, haven't been back there since February of last year), GameFAQs isn't banned in China, so you don't even need to use a VPN to shitpost on here from there. Though I am told things have gotten much stricter since them.

But yes anyone using country X did a bad thing therefore it's okay for country Y to do a bad thing is being disingenuous and obviously a shill. I have had nationalists in China tell me they support California independence and when I tell them sounds good, if they want independence they should get it they can't comprehend it. My wife's nationalist cousin always tries to get us on Japan with some gotcha like "Okinawa used to be part of China" or "the Japanese government did X bad thing, how can we support them" and when we say Okinawa should be allowed to be independent or join China if they want (and the people very much do not want to be part of China) and that we don't support the current government he just dismisses us as talking nonsense. A lot of nationalists really can't imagine not picking some country and being blindly loyal to it.

The Wikipedia STI article actually lists which were primarily developed by American or Japanese teams:
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 1992 Both
Sonic Spinball 1993 American
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 1994 Japanese
Sonic & Knuckles 1994 Japanese

What the hell Sonic Team in Japan was doing during all of this is a good question.

I'm guessing Japan made the Saturn cuz of those Segata Sanshiro commercials

Sonic 3 was also Sega Technical Institute (Sega of America), not Sonic Team (Sega of Japan). But it's important to know most of the staff, especially the directors and higher ups were Japanese at Sega Technical Institute, so this means they're both primarily developed by Japanese teams.

There is no excuse for the Nintendo games not being on Switch online but I think they shot themselves in the foot for a lot of the third party stuff. Like you want Capcom and Konami to just give all their biggest games out for free instead of making collections? I am not sure how much Nintendo pays them, but I can guarantee you aren't ever going to get all of Mega Man or Castlevania on the Switch Online collection.

Very few people would be upset by that. I don't live in the US anymore but all my friends growing up were Native for obvious reasons, and I still remain good friends with many. Some definitely prefer Indian or American Indian more specifically, but I can't think of anyone who would be upset by Native American. You have signs welcoming you to the Indian Reservation, so it's kind of hard to ignore, plus organizations like AIM. Growing up in the middle of nowhere with little exposure to people who weren't Native I wasn't able to appreciate the extent of racism in the US until college, which is often viewed as a bastion of tolerance, but that's when I first met people who outright hated you for your race.

US school systems have a laundry list of problems. I would never want my kids educated there. Whether or not they use CRT doesn't seem to matter much because you can look at how they compare to other countries now on international standardized tests and it's not good. They already spend the most per student in the world, so people in the US really need to consider looking at what other countries are doing that are achieving far better results for far less money and maybe try that.

And yeah raising my mixed race kids in a country where both races are extreme minorities might have disadvantages over the more diverse US, but they also won't be shot and will receive a quality education, so it seems like a pretty good deal to me.

Germany is overrated af and was conquered by the end of the war while Japan wasn't and still had an army and air force at least.

You are out of your mind if you think Japan was remotely on the level of Germany during World War II. They were worse in basically every aspect. Germany had cutting edge technology beyond anything the allies had at the end of the war. Japan had just started developing radar in the middle of the war and all their weapons were massively outdated by the end (the Zero was a decent fighter at the start, but completely outdated by the end).

Also stop saying they had an air force left. They didn't. They had to resort to using training planes for suicide runs because they had a lack of fuel, ammo, pilots, and actual combat planes.

Japan was never going to be able to conquer China. It honestly sounds like trolling at this point because you completely ignored my post being about the difficulty of conquering China and talked about other things instead. Japan tried turning China into a colony, it couldn't. The end of the war featured the Soviets ripping through the best remnants of the Japanese army. This idea the US couldn't conquer them is preposterous and ignores why they didn't want to do a ground invasion. Also the air force was resorting to kamikaze attacks due to a lack of skilled pilots and viable planes. They had nothing of note at that point.

If resources were so important than why did were places like Australia colonized. Bigger question, why wasn't China conquered because that was the golden hub for resources?

WWII technically was an extension of the second Sino-Japanese War which was exactly an attempt at conquering China. And despite being in a Civil War, Imperial Japan never made any real progress and were faced with the prospect of pulling out once the oil embargo hit. Instead they decided to attack the US and seize a bunch of other territories to get oil.

It didn't work out for them.

Also one of my wife's cousins is the absolute worst with this shit. Every time we are in China he has to tell you how every single thing ever is from China. Did you know tea is from China? Japanese tea isn't as good because it's from China. Did you know cherry blossoms are from China? Japanese cherry blossom aren't as good... And so on.

Worth noting tea, cherry blossoms, etc. aren't genetically identical between the two, so the origin isn't as relevant in modern times.

I recommend telling people that peppers are from America so Sichuan food is actually from America (and I guess so is Italian food with tomatoes, Thai food, a lot of stuff...).

I could perhaps understanding wanting a permit for handguns. Rifles idk. Shotgun nah not unless its become clear they are blind as a bat. If you cant hit your target with a shotgun you got problems

I am just talking about Texas here. Some states mail a ballot to you, you don't need to go anywhere or show ID, you just fill it out and mail it back or drop it in a ballot dropoff box. Texas keeps making voter harder, not easier, but wants to make owning a gun and carrying it as easy as possible. If they want to make it easy to exercise your rights, apply it to voting too. That's what I'm saying.
