Absolutely.

Average american eats out 4.2 times per week according to the first google source i pulled.

Say average is $15 since. If you eat out half as often and invest it instead, say your meal cost will be $3 instead so $12 savings.

At 2.1x per week that's $25.20 savings. That's $1,310.40 per year.

Do that for 40 years at 8% interest, you've got yourself and extra $340k in savings.

Get a financial advisor and a couple of attorney's right away. Figure out how to give away what money I want to give away, when and how, all that.

Sell my house.
Buy 1+ acre beach front in Hawaii. Looks like for $3-5M you can you good choices. Probably be on Oahu just to be near Honolulu. Also would consider San Diego, but I don't think $5M is getting you beach front with 1 acre+ near san diego anymore.

Go to a tech school and become a certified auto mechanic. Work a couple of years at a dealership, a couple of years at a customizer / hot rodder. Then spend the rest of my days just doing restorations / custom builds on cars I like and do a youtube channel on that. I would take old cars I owned (well same make and model, maybe different year) for the the first set of videos. Once I have a few series of these and get through maybe 4 or 5 cars of my own, I start doing user dream cars.

They don't really make an argument on this one. I agree racism is an issue, I don't think "public health crisis" is the right thing to classify it as. Persistent violation of civil rights is more what I would consider it.

Defund police.
Agree with 4.5/9, so overall agree but barely. Lots of stuff in there i disagree with.

Fund community health
Agree with 1.5/2, overall agree.

End Washington State Voter Suppression.
Agree with 0/3, overall disagree.

End youth incarceration.
Agree with 0/1, overall disagree. I do think Washington could do with less youth incarceration, but some 14 year olds do need to be locked up.

Dismantle the school to prison pipeline.
Agree with 4.5/7, too ignorant on bullet 2 to have a position on that, but overall agree.

I wouldn't worry about that much. When they do re-releases it is normally years later and it doesn't negatively impact the value of the originals. And no guarantee Hasbro has the marvel license a decade from now. Not sure how long the current deal goes (press release didn't say) but they did a "multi-year extension" in 2020.

You did it wrong then. You should have tapped WCW for all the amazing matches and watched Raw live to stay in tune with the better storylines.

Probably.
I started watching wrestling in maybe late 80s, but probably early 90s. NWA WCW Saturday Nights. I can only remember watching like 3 or 4 WWF events prior to the Montreal Screwjob, which was the first thing they did that at all got my attention. I would flip back and forth frequently of course. But WCW was my default. 90-97 I was 99% WCW, 1% WWF. Montreal Screw Job making WWF look more attractive and WCW fucking up Starrcade 97 soured me slightly on the product.
98 I was probably 90% WCW 10% WWF
99 I was 70% WCW, 25% WWF 5%
2000 was probably closer to 60% WCW 30% WWF, 10% ECW. I felt by this time it was The Rock's show. I would typically tune out of WCW final hour for WWFs and flip over more and more often.
2001 was was 60/40 WCW/WWF until the merger, after which point there was no choice.

Even worse than tackle football, anyone else play "smear the queer"? like tackle football, but only without the football, and add a slur, and rather than equal # against each other, its all vs. 1

oh that reminds me of another thing, my brother and our friends would have "karate wars".

Basically anytime more than me and a friend and my brother and one of his friends, or one of my friend's with a brother and their friend. For some reason karate wars required 4 people.

From there, punch and kick the hell out of each other, only rule is not in the face, not in the balls. We did them from like 1st grade to 7th grade or so, at that point it was starting to really hurt, like bruises lasting weeks from leg kicks to the thigh (we didn't know how devastating calf kicks could be then).

That sort of thing kind of killed the collectibles market. Unless something's extremely limited edition it won't be worth shit for 200 years.

It seems to me the collectable market is at an all time high.

I think there are more speculators for everything now, but for every 1 speculator of Frozen toys you still have 100 kids playing with their frozen toys.

I think any cool internal combustion engine cars from the last 10 years or so will end up quite collectable long term. Like a 997 Porsche 911 turbo ends up being a million dollar car in 20 years.

1st gen iconic electronics. Like first gen ipod, ipod shuffle, iphone, alexa, things like that.

For video games, I'm guessing physical copies of games that were really popular for download will be among the most expensive. Stuff like plants vs zombies, journey, those sort of games that were 90% download, 10% physical purchases.

Basketball cards keep the current trend of driving the sports card market. It's global growth is going to make it hard to compete with.

Funco pops maybe? Do people still care about those?

Blurays / DVDs / VHS that are no longer streaming or are unable to get music rights / some other sort of rights.

Sneakers and co-branded street wear seems like it could be big.

What do you think?

Magic has the best art, ROI, its because the company (Wizards of the Coast) prides themselves on making rare and valuable cards

https://www.npr.org/sections/money/2018/12/26/679311116/episode-609-the-curse-of-the-black-lotus

Actually the opposite. They work to keep the prices down and people playing with magic cards instead of speculating with them.

TL;DL MTG started same time basically as Beanie Babies. First 3 prints of magic have Black Lotus, a powerful game changing card. That card instantly starts becoming more valuable. Starts of $10, $15, $100, $500, all in the first year. Wizards of the Coats is worried that they are becoming a fad and a bubble. Figured they had 2 years. So they started printing much much more. And then they create Magic Pro League with the rules banning power 9 and requiring using decks in the last 2 years. From then on Wizards tried to never make any one card too powerful or too collectable, and on a set level, would print on demand.
