They got rid of Henry Cavill when he refused to shave his mustache for reshoots. He cost them millions over dollars over a mustache. Cavill is a great Superman, but I can't blame them after that. |

| FortuneCookie 05/10/21 1:22:19 PM #1 | Warner Bros. is making a standalone Superman movie; a period piece in which Clark Kent and General Zod are Black. When they made a standalone race-swapped movie, they saw fit to include Zod. Between that and Man of Steel, General Zod is being canonized as Superman's primary adversary. And when they decide to do an ongoing Superman series again, you can bet Zod will be there front and center. Say what you will about Lex Luthor as a character, it's the lack of competition which has hindered Superman. The chief complaint is that he's too invincible. Now that Superman's main foe is going to be someone on his level, I expect the Man of Steel to be measured more for his own merits than for his lack of suitable opposition. |

I'm kinda surprised a movie hasn't done that thing where Two-Face covers one side of his face up like he did in that two-part episode. It seems to me like that would be a way to get people to want to see the movie. You can see his hand is burned. You can see from behind the bag over the side of his face that the area around his eye is burned. But what does his face look like underneath? You gotta see the movie to find out. |

Did they recast him and maybe that's where the confusion came from? Whatever. It's all the more reason why Hobgoblin was better in that series and why Green Goblin felt lame by comparison when he finally showed up. If Mark Hamill had voiced Two-Face in Batman: The Animated Series, and a 1966 version of the Joker showed up in the second season, fans of that era might've thought differently about the Joker's worth as a villain. I can get over a wrongful first impression of Green Goblin as a character, but I never got over how juvenile the name sounded. To this day, I feel like "the Green Goblin" should be the name of a Smurfs villain, a Care Bears villain, something like that. |

My introduction to Spider-Man was the 90s cartoon show. During the first season, they couldn't use Green Goblin because he was on loan for a live action movie that never got made. So, they used Hobgoblin instead. By the time Green Goblin appeared in the second season, the well had been poisoned. Hobgoblin had already done all of the cool things a villain with a glider can do. (And he had a voice actor who did a near-perfect imitation of Mark Hamill's Joker.)  More importantly, when Green Goblin showed up in the second season, the name and color scheme just felt juvenile by comparison. Keep in mind, this was a cartoon show. They couldn't have Green Goblin I just never got over that first impression that "the Green Goblin" sounded like a kid's name in comparison to the Hobgoblin. |

If Batman is your favorite superhero, chances are the Joker is your favorite villain. I get it. I've been there in other mediums and with different characters. For me, I tended to like Batman and Spider-Man's secondary villains more than their primary ones. I'll take Two-Face over Joker, Killer Croc over Riddler, Clayface over Penguin. Likewise, Reptile over Doctor Octopus, Rhino over Vulture, pretty much anyone over Green Goblin. |

Once, the Mario coin at the beginning was even a demonic red. (I'll try and get a picture if it does it again.) This is why I don't go in for expensive rare games. When a game is more than 20 years old, there's no guarantee it will continue to work. Fortunately, this one is easily replaced. But I'd hate to drop $700+ on a copy of Little Samson only to have it glitch out on me due to age. |
