Anyway, the narrative that Snyder is, in a general critical sense, some kind of widely panned filmmaker is inaccurate.

This is exactly what bothers me most about Snyder fanboys. They all seem to think he's an iconoclastic director who was canceled by critics for being non-pc. He's just an overdramatic filmmaker who has made a career of molding source material to fit his aesthetic, which I find largely dour.

For the first dose, slight fatigue that lasted for around 24 hours (just a general feeling of tiredness, nothing that prevented me from doing anything.

I see he's back to just making sketches again. I thought dude had turned a corner with the earthbound/majora's mask vids but apparently not. I would like to see him make more videos about "good" games tbh. I know that kind of goes against his schtick but his schtick needs to change imo

I liked Q but I think I'm in the minority. Gameplay is repetitive. Serious persona fans will complain that it flanderizes the characters; can't really disagree there, but it didn't bother me. The music is really good and it has a few choice fan-servicey scenes.

Didn't play Q2, but I've heard conflicting reports that it's both an improvement and that it's way worse

I liked 3 a lot when it came out. the plot twist sucks and is distracting but the game itself is fine for a ps2 rpg. I have fond memories of most of the cast: Nel, Cliff, the crazy dude.

And then 4 comes along and puts out a legitimate candidate for worst main party of all time. Haven't even bothered with 5.

2 is definitely the best one but even then it's like a slightly above average tales game

I wasn't super huge on Yoshizawa, but the new stuff in Royal is great and I feel adds to the story in a productive way, as opposed to Golden, which was occasionally great fanservice, but also felt more tacked on.

I'm just gonna say it here, and TC probably shouldn't read this but getting fiora back really hurts the game's narrative in a way where it never truly recovers in my opinion. Melia basically just stands around the rest of the game and the game becomes basically a predictable slog through the Mechonis

What can she do besides use guns? Even more so than Snake, her identity is associated with guns.

I think she would definitely use guns. Joker and Bayo use guns, so I think the days of Smash "not using guns" are over. She could also use a bow and a rope. I've never been good at movesets, so I'll leave that up to Masterhero soccerguy

Lara's certainly fallen from Grace. The second reboot game was pretty good (Rise of). The first one is boring and the third one is awful. I expect Square Enix to announce a new game next week at their "Square Direct." They need to get away from aping Uncharted though, because that was getting old by the time of Uncharted 3.

I still think she should be in Smash. Her influence/presence was so pronounced for a solid decade.

some people are meant to be boring and bland and that's fine. it's better than someone who is supposed to be interesting but ends up boring and bland anyway (looking at you Major Claire)

I guess playing on expert takes the exclamation marks off the map. This was one helpful part of the DE is that they would mark the items you need for quests.
