Fallen Arm has two problem - there's way too many enemies, and it's surprisingly small. With that said the vista from the top of the finger is a #1 all-time open world moment.

Throwing a vote to Sword Valley cause I like its atmosphere more than most and I'm pretty sure it'll get crushed.

MCH is easy conceptually and difficult on your fingers. With that said as someone who mains Ninja and is used to pressing buttonz I found MCH to be one of the easiest combat classes that I've played (except RDM lmao).

imo people overstate the importance of parse. If your team can press buttons well enough (which they should be if they're attempting Savage), you shouldn't struggle with enrage checks. Consistently clearing mechanics will always be the #1, #2, and #3 most important reasons to clearing tough content.

(This is why ranged physical will never have big Samurai damage. Easiest mechanic clearers out of any role or class.)

It kinda cracks me up every time a random Xenoblade enemy pops up in these polls. At least with Fire Emblem characters they're actually characters.

We did somehow get two actual Xenoblade characters on the roster though.

You seem to be under the impression that people here, in THIS topic of all places, are too nervous to blame a cop for killing someone on the job, and that's the reason why there's pushback. I've sided against the police in 99% of the examples posted here and yes, this is the 1% where I think it's fine

Also get out of here with that 'net zero lives' BS, if someone tried to stab me and another person neglected to stop them than I would be pretty pissed as I bled to death from a knife wound as they tapdanced on the moral high ground

Guns prob have less deaths than medical issues, but America's gun problems also tie in heavily to the corrupt police state which can enact martial law anytime they want with no consequences, so yeah both are pretty big goddamn deals

I'm not as big on Bridge to The Tournabout as most. The ending is very good, but in general I like Ace Attorney the most when spirit channeling is kept as a background element.

The fact that they haven't re-released Ike's games annoys the crap out of me. He was voted the most popular character in the series (pre-release of Heroes) but they can't take the time to throw his games onto the Switch eshop? The Gamecube isn't exactly an accessible system these days and his game cost hundreds of dollars used.

Well, I was talking about the cast chemistry of FFX as a whole. You have several notable group scenes where the entire cast (sometimes even Kimahri!) contributes. You never really feel like any of the cast is completely irrelevant (unlike, say, FFIX).

While true, I think there are better examples even within its own series. I'm surprised you of all people didn't bring up FF8 as I think despite being a very Squall-centric game, its cast interacts with each other nicely when the game actually gives them screentime. Half of FF9's cast being irrelevant is a big problem, yeah.

I wouldn't say FFX is a particularly notable example of character interacting with each other individually. Yuna and Tidus do, but they have to. Auron, Rikku, Wakka, Kimahri, and Lulu generally only interact with Tidus/Yuna (excepting Wakka and Lulu interacting each other other).

Xenoblade could have used some more of the cast interacting with each other individually, but most games could do with some improvement on that front. I think it's still in the upper tier thanks to Hearts to Hearts and the post-battle lines.

For all its numerous writing faults, I think this is one thing the Tales series nails in every game.

I wouldn't actually, most JRPG protagonists aren't nearly as mature or intelligent as Shulk. Which is why he's the perfect JRPG protagonist in my eyes - he manages to hit the sweet spot between 'young and going on a coming of age journey' and 'mature enough that you don't roll your eyes at his internal struggles'. He's a character that works both for the target audience of teenagers and an older audience.

I wouldn't say Lloyd is quite the average either, actually, although he's not a bad choice. He's several degrees dumber than the average. The Average would be like...Rex from XBC2, actually. Or Sorey from Tales of Zestiria.

Also forgot to mention: franchise fatigue. The Ace Attorney formula hasn't changed since 2001. Except for Investigations, but the first game was sub-par and the second game (apparently much better) was never localized. Not every series needs to go on forever, and I think a decent number of people have kind of gotten their fill of the Ace Attorney formula by this point.

AA2 sucks but 2-4 is a god tier case, which salvages it.

The thing about AA 1-3 is that it felt more...complete? Like Phoenix's journey had come to a natural conclusion. Then AA4 happened and it blew up canon and shit the bed super duper hard. AA5 and AA6 salvaged the ship, but there was a lot of goodwill blown irreversibly, and the games after AA4 haven't felt very connected. They're like...bonus content. Good but not as memorable.

Jaime was one of the most butchered characters in the ending. Throws away all his character development out of nowhere to go die in a way that absolutely no viewers wanted.

You're understating this. Shiva is easily one of the most popular fights in the game for casual players - it's often cited as the fight that made people realize FF14 gameplay could be hype.

Honestly forgot Shiva was released at the tail end of ARR. Yeah she's a more cinematic fight (and also one that left a huge mark on the playerbase, which is why she bookended Eden tier two).

It's great. Titan is a trial by fire for slacking newbie players that teaches them that some mechanics and AoEs are ones they really can't afford to fail. It's frustrating as hell but teaches you about the game through lessons of pain, and that gives it a unique identity that almost no other boss fights have. Plus it's by very the most cinematic of the ARR bosses which helped it stand out at the time. There's a reason Titan the final fight of the first Eden tier - he's left a big mark on the playerbase.

Titan is great even if his OG fight is outdated by now. He's basically the mascot for Primals at this point - think he appears in more fights than any other enemy in the game.
