Just finished it. Feels like a high mid-tier RE game for me. I think it had the best exploration/treasure hunting of the series, it was just so satisfying here and what I had the most fun with overall. I was let down by the story, except for the explanation of Ethan's moldy backstory, that was awesome and I'm just an absolute sucker for meta-video gamey stuff like that. I guess I didn't find the game as disjointed as most people here, I think it kept a healthy balance of horror and action throughout, and always felt at least pretty tense playing as Ethan; sections such as the lights turning out in Heisenberg's factory were great little moments of horror and it was a lot of similar sections to this that kept the pace pretty tight overall. The baby alone was one of the scariest things RE has ever done and felt so out of the series wheelhouse that I loved it.

I think overall I just love all the content that's in this game and the atmosphere was practically perfect. I'll definitely have more expanded thoughts down the line once I play through it more and take it all in but right now I'm highly positive about it!

But why did the production quality of the epilogue seem kind of cheap compared to the rest of the game?

Also am I only the one who wans an RE side-scroller with the art style of Village of Shadows? Sort of like Deadlight or Little Nightmares gameplay style?

Progressive rock for the slacker generation, combining introspective, slow-burning songs with moments of explosive hard rock, political diatribe and harsh commentaries on social isolation in an increasingly technologically-reliant age. It's downright impossible to truly listen to this album and not come away from it feeling something. Radiohead wear their influences on their sleeves here, mainly The Beatles but artists like Bob Dylan, ambient artists like The Orb, trip hop in Portishead, & classical composers get their due here too, but Radiohead smartly doesn't pigeonhole themselves and instead gets wildly creative with their compositions, and veer from the progressive-metal-esque Electioneering, which is one of the most prevalent political songs on the album, to the lush electronica structures of Exit Music, to the haunting ambient soundtracks that score terrifying lyrical motifs in tracks like Climbing Up the Walls or The Tourist, accompanied by absolutely gorgeous and ear-catching string arrangements. I would be remiss to not mention Airbag with its stop-start rhythm that is as addicting and catchy as it is frightfully meaningful as it paints a picture of car crashes and other transportation tragedies. There is no crack in Radiohead's armor, from start to finish Radiohead captivates with some of the best storytelling in music, and even tracks like Fitter Happier which run the risk of alienating even some of RH's most devout followers come across as charming and fitter to the album's overall themes (and it's an experimentation I tend to love despite its low ranking here). It's an album that totally lives up to the hype and you could spend hours dissecting the lyrical themes and instrumentation but I think it's best to just let it speak for itself.

Got up to the start of Castle Dimitrescu. Loving it so far. The build up on the snowy path at the beginning of the game felt straight out of SH2 with the sound design. Combat is fluid and really fun, I think they tuned the AI & reduced the health of enemies from the demo a little bit. Feels perfect now. Excited to get back into it ASAP.

I think it's not a 10/10 for me only because I think the beginning act was a little rushed, I really loved the dichotomy between Amanda & Katie/Maud and I think they became antagonistic too quick, I would've preferred a more slow burn. Although generally I did think the film had excellent pacing past that.

The current Mount Rushmore of horror eh? I guess for me it would be Pontypool, American Psycho, Resolution, & The Love Witch. But that's not very thematically-linked :/

I think something more thematically me would actually be American Psycho, Kill List, Resolution, & You're Next, all genre-benders that are different films then what they appear to be on first glance.

Saint Maud

A film that starts off deceptively simple, a religion-centric drama that slowly and surely pushes the extreme boundaries of horror in zealotry with a star-making performance from Morfydd Clark. Clark embodies all aspects and all stages of the devout, a woman trapped in a nightmarish loop of losing the patients under her care, overly course-correcting through strict adherence to biblical practices, and losing just that little bit of sanity over and over again when the cycle begins anew. It is both a joy and a terror to see Maud fluctuate from the tight-laced nun-esque nurse of Amanda to the directionless, sleazy barfly seen later, as she plunges into a downward spiral of booze and sex before her revelation comes in a mess of sweat and squalor, only for her to clean herself and her home all over again (as cleanliness is next to godliness after all). I think one of my favorite aspects of the film were the delicate touches of the supernatural; seeing visions of God in the clouds or Maud's angel wings puts you squarely into her character's headspace, as you are forced to constantly question the true reality of each situation. You can even come to understand why Maud believes all of this from her perspective even as you know her mental state is in jeopardy. While of course religion is a huge subject for this film, I also like how Saint Maud tackles questions of death and states of extreme loneliness and isolation. Maud and Amanda are the perfect foils for each other; from Amanda's perspective, Maud's youth is wasted on old-fashioned rules while Maud wishes for Amanda to clean up her act so she can secure a place in heaven before it's too late. It's Amanda, even in her state of near-death, who chooses life however, surrounding herself with friends and sexual relationships, squeezing out every drop of joy and pleasure before it all eventually comes to a stop. It's this irony that truly drives the film forward and one of Maud's most flawed aspects. I also enjoy the film's incredible restraint, only briefly lingering on moments of pain and torment while instead focusing on the more anxiety-inducing side of the horror genre. I really have to applaud the film's last few shots in particular, that was just incredible film making. I can't wait to see what Rose Glass does next.

8/10

Some of them are actually decent for mobile games. Genesis is a mobile demake of RE1 & Uprising is a demake of RE2. They're neat! Confidential Report is pretty good too, it's a turn based game and original story taking place during the Raccoon City incident.

There's even more:
The Episodes
The Stories
The Operations
I Survivor
Zombie Shooter

Minna to Biohazard Team Survive

Although most of these are impossible to obtain now or outright defunct.

I played it on PS4 and thought it was a pretty good game, and actually didn't experience too many issues surprisingly (played it late December-early January). The worst aspect was probably the framerate during combat. Story was compelling to me but don't expect much deviation in choices. Soundtrack was the best part.

I want a game where every single jettisoned companion character comes back and I don't care how they have to warp the plot to make it happen.

And the villains are Nicholai, Alex Wesker, Jessica Sherawat & Maria Gomez.

almost anything about Helena's personality but I definitely remember playing her like a WWE fighter and busting out a fucking Hurricanrana on zombies at every opportunity.

And her awesome Hydra quickshots!
