I'm 4 episodes into season 2 of Kaguya-sama now...

If you're referring to Miko Ino, then I just got introduced to her in the latest episode I watched and hell no, she's definitely not best girl. Maybe she gets better later on and she'll prove me wrong, but just based on first impressions, I can't stand her.

Really? I figured you'd find her hilarious because of her interactions with the rest of the cast.

My brother sent me these screenshots today. Apparently the Demon Slayer movie is available digitally through the Playstation store on PS4, and he was able to buy it and is watching it as we speak. I've had multiple people who have PS5's check and tell me that they don't see it, so the fact that it's only there on PS4 and not PS5 makes me think it might be an accidental early release that will get pulled off the store until the actual release date. So if you don't want to wait to watch it but don't want to deal with going to a theater, you might want to jump on this chance soon.

For reference, that's the same answer I give Caelthus when he asks me when I'm going to watch Nyaruko-san, and he's been bitching at me to watch that show for at least four years now. I have a lot of shows on my plan-to-watch list (whether they were recommended by others or ones I got interested in myself) and I have to balance my anime-watching time with a lot of other stuff I need/like to do.

I'm still hesitant to watch 86 because (after hearing some things from people who read the LN's) I'm afraid it'll be too gory for me. Crunchyroll are going to dub it later, so maybe when the dub comes out, I'll ask you guys watching the subbed version if there's been any moments that might set off my aversion to gore. If there haven't been any (or if there's only been a couple and you guys can warn me of them) then I'll watch it.

I decided to keep it simple and just limit it to three outcomes:

1) A clear win for Kaguya (AKA "Kaguya wins" or "Miyuki loses")
2) A clear win for Miyuki (AKA "Miyuki wins" or "Kaguya loses")
3) A no contest (AKA anything besides the above, like both losing, someone else winning, etc.)

I've watched 8 episodes so far, and I have the score at an even 7-7 with 10 no contests up to this point.

FYI, your best girl appears in Season 2. An angry little cinnamon roll.

I'm now halfway into the first season of Kaguya-sama, and the English dub seriously saved this show for me. The change in the narrator's style was a huge step up for me (god bless Ian Sinclair) and the voice acting and English script are amazing too. I'd say my favorite segments so far are the "make the other people say their forbidden word" game, Shirogane's volleyball lesson, and (where I got the screenshot I used above) the umbrella scene.

As much as I love the sub, I'm glad to hear the dub saved the show for you. It's truly a hysterical show and I love it. Also, who is best girl so far and why is it Kaguya?

Anime costs too damn much for me at this point. Beyond CR and Funimation if I'm feeling that, I just can't justify spending money on anime typically.

I did get the new Lupin film as it was on sale. I think they incorrectly labeled it at 15 bucks as it scanned at 25, but they gave it to me at that price.

If you were to see my anime shelf you would probably have a heart attack then.

My god Beastars and Dr. Stone have been EXCELLENT this season.

Meanwhile, one of my favorite anime of the last couple years, Promised Neverland, continues to basically be a gut punch. After all the alterations and changes that literally made my wife a mixture of absolutely enraged and sad, they do a recap episode.... 5 episodes in.

Are...are they TRYING to intentionally make season 2 as universally hated and despised as possible? Like, season 1 was well received IIRC, so this is just beyond baffling to me.
