Lots of Birds finally did something: they pecked Jessica Telephone free from her shell. Its probably too late for her and the Pies to reach the playoffs though so this might be a net negative when the bloodbath comes, if her presence puts them ahead in their division.

So here's some stuff you missed by picking the DS version over others

In the GBA and PSP, after going to the moon and coming back to earth, you can swap in any former party member besides Tellah, they have a bonus dungeon you can do immediately to get them equipment equal to the rest of the team. Then after beating the game a 40-floor dungeon opens up with special scenarios for each party member to get their ultimate equipment, some of which also alter their abilities. The GBA version is also buggy in many ways but few of them game-breaking.

In the original version, you can have Rydia cast Warp after the fight against Golbez where she returns and you will be teleported back into the crystal chamber. The crystal is still there even though Golbez took it, and you can just pick it up as an item without going through the Sealed Cave. However you still have to go to the entrance of the cave and let Kain steal it in order for the plot to advance. Also the scene of Golbez taking the crystal is different in non-DS versions, his hand became severed from his body somehow and crept along the floor to take the crystal.

The Bahamut fight is totally different; in other versions the entire gimmick is that Megaflare is powerful enough to kill any party member and you must cast Reflect on all of them (or Jump with Kain) to survive. Other fights have differences but that's the really big one.

Cookbook and Scorpler had both been hit by Jaylen Hotdogfingers a few games prior. Some people thought that maybe an effect would occur if an already Unstable player was hit by another pitch, but that is clearly not the case.

Tigers mostly make it out of Election Day safely, but then weather effects constantly screw us over. Frasier Shmurmgle seems alright but still can't measure up to Moody Cookbook

So what's up with the Crabs, what teams have they been playing so far? Unusual amount of losses for how strong they are.

Anyway, I wanted to share my two theories about the Shelled status. First one I came up with is that they will remain Shelled until they are incinerated, which will burn up the shell but the player will remain unscathed. Second theory is that the peanut shell is actually an egg and the players will eventually emerge changed in some way.

That Lil Murderer is a trickster, its Libra message says its weak to Lightning but if you hit it with any Lightning it will counter with strong attacks.

Does Haste not cause the Doom countdown to count much faster in this game? I never played the 3D version but thats usually a bad interaction between the two statuses.

A team won a blessing with 0% before (presumably a number so small that it was rounded down rather than up)

Someone pointed out today that a player has been switched for their alternate reality version twice, but did not change back to their original stats as a result. The fact that Alternate is a status effect and the wording on it kind of implied that it should work that way, though. I had been hoping there would be a way to get original Yazmin Mason back but it sounds like thats not possible.

Looks like it will, but since they swapped out their worst player and the shelled player just gets skipped in rotation, it was still a boost for them. Now that bad player isn't getting outs when they're at bat.

Also, the Bloodbath was postponed, as a "consolation prize" for getting one peanut at the top of the idolized list.

Crabs already guaranteed to win again next season. I guess maybe if the Fourth Strike puts in a lot of work for the Jazz Hands they could take it too. Jaylen Hotdogfingers went to the Garages and has two new status effects, "Returned" and "Debted"

That chi emphasis sounds like Chinese government influence, they've been really big on promoting traditional Chinese martial arts (which have an emphasis on chi) for the past few years. Look up the story of the Chinese MMA who keeps destroying martial arts masters and how the government punishes him for making the traditional martial arts look bad.

I felt like I understood the basics of how to play the game by the time the tutorial finished. There are things I still wanted to know more about, but the way tooltips work made it simple to learn more.

I saw that Axel Trololol (5.5 star Firefighters pitcher) got swapped to hitting (2.5 stars) earlier today thanks to Reverb.

I'm trying to figure out why the Lovers are doing so well. They got a decent pitching boost from blessings after last season, but that shouldn't be enough to explain how well they've played so far. I guess the answer might just be that the rest of their division is bad, the best record aside from theirs is barely above 50%.
