I'm gonna be keeping an eye out for sales/price drops on Sackboy. I'm interested, but don't want to pay full price.

I'll probably get Balan Wonderland at launch though. Might check reviews to see if I end up getting it on PS5 or Switch because you never know.

I actually had to look this up and apparently someone in the band has confirmed this is true. I.... never ever ever interpreted the song this way and always thought it was just kind of a slice of life song about a bar closing for the night.

Watch Dogs: Legion (PS5)
I have a lot of feelings about this. It's... very different from the first two. I felt it was mostly an espionage game. In fact, it outright told you to play it that way, and save shooting as a last resort. Even then, most weapons were non-lethal, and there were potential consequences for using lethal force, whether on enemies or NPC civilians. The intense shoot-outs and relentless car chases from the first two were largely absent until very late in the game, and even then were far less intense than even mid-ish-game ones in the first two. Even the hacking seemed much less a part of the game than in the first two. I remember I'd be like halfway across the city (exaggerating but pretty fucking far) and chaining cameras together to set off explosives, wipe out half the fleet, and hell even complete half of my objectives before sneaking into a forbidden zone. Nothing of the sort in this one. Nor could I rack up cash by hacking everyone around me and draining their bank accounts. The missions were mostly very repetitive and because of the multiple operative feature you could actually fail some objectives (usually escapes) and still pass the mission. It felt less urgent, especially since I didn't turn permadeath on (if I ever play through this again, I will).

Speaking of the multiple operatives feature, I have mixed feelings on that too. I thought it was a neat idea but I didn't spend too much time on it because I found a small handful early on that I liked using and mainly stuck with them. But more than that, it made for a less personal and engaging story. Aiden and Marcus might not have been the greatest protagonists (well, actually I take that back, Aiden was pretty fucking great) but I still felt invested in their fates and the fates of their loved ones. By design that was absent here. If this series continues (and I really hope it does), I hope the next game abandons all the changes made to this game and acts as a true successor to the first two. Oh, and the game had an annoying tendency to glitch, specifically the NPCs. Enemies would just derpderpderp into walls and sometimes disappear entirely. Thankfully this didn't happen often enough for me to feel like I got a ton of cheap victories but often enough to notice.

On the positive side of things, the music was great and I've found some songs to add to my playlist. The villains were truly vile and while I'll probably forget their names tomorrow, they were a lot of fun to take down. And it was still a pretty fun play, if a bit frustrating at times. But the true best thing about the game was Bagley, who is an instant candidate for my all-time top 10 gaming characters. Hell, maybe even top 5. He was that damn amazing.

I bought the ultimate launch edition of Miles Morales because I never played the original and that edition comes with the PS5 remaster of it.

I've never done this before and it seemed a heck of a lot more complicated than it should be given the circumstances because this is something that REALLY shouldn't be on the internet. In the video, a person's full name, full address, and even most of their frigging SSN is said out loud. Given the nature of the video it's pretty clear that the person has absolutely no idea that it was ever made/uploaded, and even if they did that shouldn't be up there. But when I went to go report it as a privacy issue, I was referred to some FAQ-type page stating that in order to report a video for a privacy issue, it needs to be me that is identified and I need to prove that it's me and that the video identifies me specifically beyond a shadow of a doubt, which is absolutely dumb because the person in question is almost certainly completely ignorant to the video's existence and now all their info is completely public within guessing distance of identity theft.

I wouldn't be going through this much effort to try and get it taken down if it were anything less than something that could legitimately ruin an innocent person's life, which this is. Any tips on how I should report this to ensure that it gets taken down?

I'd been planning on finishing up one more to close out the year but I'm struggling a bit with the final boss so I'll get on the board early for 2021 with it.

This would have been Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, but I'm putting it to the side, if not quitting it entirely. The final boss is just proving far too difficult for me, and more than that a waste of time (three times now I've been in the battle for over 20 minutes and then died)

Couple things I've noticed.

My system still makes the occasional clicking noise (like the kind you might get for the first few seconds after a big electronic shuts down after running for a long time) as late as 10 minutes after it's been powered down.

Sometimes when I've been playing a game for a long time (so far I've only noticed this with Watch Dogs: Legion) my controller will start to buzz and rumble a bit when I press L2. It's not a game mechanic because it will do it even on a pause or loading screen once it's begun and the only way to stop it is to close the software.

Anyone else notice these things?

I continued to lose weight, which is a journey I began last year. In about 2.5 years I've gone from being very deep into the "obese" range (though not quite morbidly obese) to being only 10-15 pounds overweight.
