Why is it that literally every single time I see police chase in the topic title on CE it is always taking place in California and generally LA specifically?

Only one i've ever seen that wasn't LA was one in Texas. I don't think most cities have the resources to air a live police chase on the news, LA budget must be huge. I can't think of any other reason.

Like I said in the last topic you came in to cry, we've watched dozens of these, none ever ended in a hostage situation, no one has ever gotten hurt, no one shot, no one killed, every single one ends in their surrender and the police cuffing the suspect and taking them away. If I didnt play some already like RE7 or I didnt already have Xbox game pass I would say its a better bang for the buck. For $5 the price is right, just doesnt make sense if I already have Xbox. I just wanted to test it out.

Ah yeah, I didn't catch that. I think most that i'd recommend were ones I played on Game Pass and enjoyed like Plague Tale.

I like the quietness of it, something about it snowing and everything seems to go silent. If it wasn't like 14 degrees i'd be sitting outside half the day.

Not to come off as rude, but are you very picky or only play a couple of genres? I didn't even know this was a thing but looking at the game list there's at least a dozen I could easily recommend as quality titles. It's not an amazing library or anything, but there are some good games on there.

Whiteout - looks fantastic man, what a joy to see a frosty white on everything. Its totally a different scene when things are covered in snow. Maybe Ill take a drive this Saturday just to celebrate the snow with you lol

I think we are getting more Thursday so as long as it stays cold it should be a sight. This is already the 6th snowfall this winter, I think we had 6 total over the last 4 years here so this is odd for sure.

Yeah that's me, chicken's water trough was frozen solid so I had to run a few 5 gallon buckets of warm water out there for them, when it's this cold and snowy I keep them in the coop, they aren't very smart and if I let them wander they can get frostbitten feet.

The one we fostered has recently taken up with a small herd. There were 5 of them out back this morning that she was playing with. She kept trying to lure them up to the house for snacks.

That's awesome, I remember seeing a pic of you near that yearling a while back. Some of them will come up within a few yards if i'm outside in the garden, I have a few crab apple trees in the back so they mainly hang around there.

My parents live in East Tennessee in the mountains and dont get shit for internet. At first all that was available was satellite, that was awful, so now they have some option where it uses cellphone towers but there are so few of those that their internet only works like 1/2 of the time and when it does its slow as FUCK

I would literally still want to live with my parents and keep saving money if the internet wasnt so bad but it drove me to move out pretty quick when they moved out here

One of my neighbors is the town mayor, so I think that had a lot to do with why it got installed out here. Before they did that, internet was basically DSL.

Internet is about 800mb download, they installed fiber optic lines a few years ago. I get one bar phone signal until I get to town lol.

i think it's more realistic for me to settle into a modest shit-heap apartment in a moderately sized town but even then i have no clue what i'd do for work. i think i'm pretty much resigned to a life and fate of obscure mediocrity unless my investments can somehow pay off

Look into stuff like security monitoring. Wife did that for a few years, and the job consisted of her sitting alone for a 6 hour shift watching 16 monitors for different car lots across the US. If you see someone wander on the private property, you call the local police in that area to check it out. If it resulted in an arrest she got a $200 bonus. It's a simple job and you work alone and security usually pays well.

I have a good paying work at home job, and the mortgage is paid off so it's just utilities and internet and whatnot. There's a farmers market every weekend and I'll do some buying and trading there. We only really spend like $200 a month max on groceries, moreso in the winter for sure.

This is basically how I've lived for the last 10 years. Bought a small house on 10 acres when it was foreclosed and got a great deal on it. My closest neighbor is nearly a mile away, and it's a 10 minute drive into the tiny town that's basically a police station, churches, 3 restaurants, a small grocery store and a dollar general. I'm on top of the mountain here, good fishing river 10 minutes up the road, the closest Walmart and real civilization is about 20 miles away.

I fish, farm, raise chickens, target shoot with my rifle and my bow. 90% of my land is just woods. I love the life here, even though a lot of people that live around here are trash.

I see deer daily which is cool too, especially in summer when they have babies and they are clumsy and trip over stuff when they run.

Man I haven't touched Animal Crossing since like last July. I was so into it from day one, played it every single day, then I just hit a wall and moved on. Will villagers move out if you are MIA for months? I have/had like 4 pretty desirable ones.

The first one I bought for myself was a bit difficult to clean. The tray had a mechanism where you can shake the contents without opening it, but it had 3 screws that you needed to remove to separate the part that shakes from bottom piece in order to fully clean it.

The one I have now is super simple, though. It just has 2 parts you take out without having to unscrew anything and you clean them.

Yeah that's how both of mine are, the basket tray pulls out all the way and you just push a button to get the grated tray out.

If it's a half inch thick filet like catfish or tilapia, 6 to 7 minutes on 375.

If it's thicker like salmon and closer to an inch, I go about 9 to 10 minutes on 375. No need to flip imo.

I don't get the "harder to clean" part, remove the basket from the main tray, put both in the dishwasher.

I have a Cosori 8 quart and a Ninja twin basket, I use them both frequently and like them more than I anticipated. It's great for a lot of things, I eat a ton of fish and it cook fliets evenly and fast.

All I can say though is cut recipe times in half compared to the book it comes with, in my experience, following those directions gets your burned food. If it tells you 12 minutes on 400 for french fries, do 7 minutes on 350 and check on them, see if they need another minute or two. It baffles me how off a lot of the recipes are on times, it's more a trial and error, and keep an eye on it. It's a simple pull of the basket, put it back in and it reaches proper temp again in like 30 seconds.
