Mechanics are outclassed by loot, leading to them feeling like a waste of time? Still, I dont know if I would count that as a strict negative. Tons of games have feature bloat and nobody complains as long as the core experience is still good. --- |

Probably just got too tilted to play properly. Kingdom Harts had Chernobog as a run killer, lmao. Years later I dug out the memory card with that file on it, did a bunch of grinding then finished the game. FFX had FF12 killed me in the forest with this dumbass dragon that years later I found out was optional. I still havent beaten the game. Castlevania had Frankenstein. Later I learned the correct way to play the game (pick a weapon and save it to rack up multipliers) and then breezed through the rest of the game --- |

There was a relatively dramatic conflict at one point when they were meeting Washu for the first time. Tenchi in Tokyo and Universe came later and were normal series. I remember Toonami didnt censor that naked girl clone. It wasnt until a few movies later that he started a face turn, so it was probably easier back then to let Kong, who was more of a tragic figure, have a victory. Now both Godzilla and Kong are firmly heroes so a matchup is going to be a bit weird. >_> I love Godzilla and am apathetic to Kong, but I hope monke wins because hes clearly the underdog in this fight. The new Toho movies Im excited for, but I hope they skew towards original or rarely used kaiju instead of relying on the same staples every time. Lets give Orga or Biollante another shot. Just got to the episode where Calibur revealed his identity. I'm digging most of the cast, though, they're fun to watch. Blades, Espada, and Buster are all cool. I especially love Espada's whole Arabian Nights theme to his suit, probably my favorite in the show. The opening theme is really my jam, though. Something about the airy melody just tugs at my heart and makes me feel something close to nostalgia. I love it so much. >_> --- |

| AlisLandale 12/05/20 5:16:55 PM #6 | Its Persona 4. You can revisit dungeons later in the story and fight an optional boss. (The reward is usually a weapon) this guy is the optional boss of the *first* dungeon, and is probably harder than the next two real bosses. Like, most new players who learn that there are optional bosses will go there and be completely outclassed. He has no elemental weakness (and will troll unsuspecting players into hitting him with the element he absorbs by casting red wall on himself to lower fire damage, which is a tactic only used by enemies with fire weakness). And he has a devastating physical AOE in Rampage that could potentially OHKO everyone in your party. there is no strategy against him other than killing him before he kills you. Later in the game when you have access to more Personas and are leveled up more he becomes easier, but by then the reward for beating him is outclassed by other shop/loot weapons. and to rub salt in the wound, none of the optional bosses from later dungeons are even as close to as difficult as this guy. (Many even actually have element weaknesses, lol. and at least one is vulnerable to Chies insta-kill Galactic Punt lmao) --- |
