Even if you were right (which you're not), then at best, without the existing use of the term to refer to trans people, which has absolutely happened...

You're still looking at a term meant to diminish cross-dressers as reflections of the people who interact with them AND promote the idea that a man is meant to feel uncomfortable for being attracted to someone of the same gender.

And that's what it boils down to: the idea that a man should recoil at the idea that the person he's attracted to is not the what he thought they were.

This leads. To people. Getting killed.

I think trying to comparatively rank skill with a lightsaber is a wasted effort.

We haven't seen nearly enough data to determine it. Each character has a few duels throughout all the movies. Hardly enough of a sample size. Outside of duels, the Jedi/Sith engage against blaster-wielding opponents and 99% of the time make it look effortless.

Also "X beat Y means X is a better duelist" is an easy trap to fall into.

And then it goes beyond to "skill in what way"? Do we consider someone who is a tunnel-visioned master at Shii-cho better than a mere adept at Makashi despite the fact that Makashi is a form designed for saber-to-saber combat whereas Shii-cho is straight up just the basic movements?

999 brought two things out of the gate *very minor early SPOILERS*

1: Immediate danger right out of the gate with the first escape room and the rushing water.

2: Immediate stakes with the 9th Man being killed.

VLR brought neither of those, so it can very well feel like a slower burn.
