Why Christianity has such a foothold on Western civilization. I am an atheist, so I do not believe in God or in the divinity of Jesus. And although the rise of Christianity can largely be attributed to political forces, I still feel that there must be something inherently special or unique about it for it to be so entrenched in society. Prior belief systems centered on animism (spirits inhabiting everyday objects and animals), polytheism, henotheism (many gods, but only one was supreme), etc., so perhaps Christianity hit the sweet spot where there is a supreme god, yet he has an emissary that was human, so it bridged the gap within the human psyche between the mortal and the divine.

I think country just has an unfortunate stereotype. People hear "country" and in their minds they hear a strong twang country accent singing about trucks, beers and women, and they just aren't interested.

I am watching an Unsolved Mysteries segment about a ghost, and this lady was saying how she would talk to the ghost (basically speaking to the house) and say "I don't mind that you're here, just please don't materialize in front of me or else I will end up in a padded room." She seemed all proud, since she asked him not to appear, "and he never has."

So it's like, OK, you're taking the absence of something that shouldn't or doesn't exist anyway (a supposed ghost) as evidence that it exists, since it "listened" to you by not materializing.

There's a fallacy in there somewhere, right? Or is it just self-delusion?

It's the actor inside the costume, the camera angle was just poorly chosen because it allows us to see inside the workings of the costume. It just looks friggin' creepy.

Home Alone 3 was released in 1997, so Macaulay Culkin was a teenager by then (seventeen years old, in fact). So the dynamic would be completely different. He would have a girlfriend, and this time around she is the one who gets left behind accidentally, while Kevin and the rest of his family leave on a trip to some faraway city.

At some point, Kevin's girlfriend (and Kevin himself) become privy to the fact that a couple of cat burglars are planning on breaking into the house. The burglars, however, are not Marv and Harry. They are new characters. By this point in time, Kevin's family would have learned from their past mistakes and have invested in cellular telephones, so Kevin tries to walk his girlfriend through the situation, traps to set, etc., until he can get back.

Toward the end of the movie, Marv and Harry show up (for whatever reason, I'd have to figure that out) and actually help Kevin and his girlfriend fight off the new baddies, because Marv and Harry say there's no honor in going after somebody's girl. Marv and Harry have learned their lesson, and everyone lives happily ever after, and another Home Alone is never made again.

Marketing is one thing but now she's actually going back to actually sell her body (if she did indeed make a video) which is something she mocked just a few years ago.

It's almost like she started out like a parody but is now becoming the real thing. It's the opposite of most peoples' career progressions.

People can change. Even if she was against it years ago, doesn't mean she can't draw different conclusions today. Or perhaps this was her set-up all along. Either way, she's an opportunist. I do, however, think there's really no coming back from this. Once you release a hardcore video, no one is going to want to pay for basic risque semi-nude photos.

I still can't believe she is making or made an actual adult film. I remember that being a scandal a few years ago when she said she was going to make a channel on a certain adult streaming site and then she made it but it wasn't even softcore it was just a trolling thing.

Think it's kind of sad she let it get to this point.

It's called marketing, and she mastered it.
This is going to net her a huge profit.

It's set in the distant future when brain transplants are possible, but not yet legal because of the implications. But there's an underworld figure who is on the cusp of being arrested for various crimes, so he decides to kidnap a rival, and have their brains switched. Thus, when "he" is arrested, it's actually the brain and soul of his rival, but of course the cops don't know that because it looks just like him.

Meanwhile, in his rival's body, lives his real brain, which is really himself, and he continues on living normally because he doesn't look like the one the cops are after.

I believe it was his ego, and the ongoing belief that he would eventually find a way to fix it. A main part of the entire show is his persistent need to solve everything, and amputation would be a defeat to himself and he'd rather bear the pain than come to terms with that.

Nice reasoning.
