Meanwhile he's politicizing them and now 130K Americans are dead. He's an evil piece of shit trying to get us killed.

That entirely depends on the state of Covid-19 in June 2021. If there is no vaccine and we end up experiencing multiple waves throughout the year, then I'm sure masks will stick around.

Sort of off-topic but I'm sincerely hoping that face masks while sick will become the norm even if Covid-19 is eradicated.
Yup, it will reduce transmission of other stuff like cold and flu

I don't mind wearing a mask in public. You have to be a seriously sheltered snowflake to have a hard time with them.

The end result, according to one of the studies, is that infection and mortality rates are higher in places where one pundit who initially downplayed the severity of the pandemic Fox Newss Sean Hannity reaches the largest audiences.

We are receiving an incredible number of studies and solid data showing that consuming far-right media and social media content was strongly associated with low concern about the virus at the onset of the pandemic, said Irene Pasquetto, chief editor of the Harvard Kennedy School Misinformation Review, which published one of the studies.

But they have been unable to rule out either poisoning or disease. The way the animals appear to be dying - many dropping on their faces - and sightings of other elephants walking in circles points to something potentially attacking their neurological systems, Dr McCann said.

Either way, without knowing the source, it is impossible to rule out the possibility of a disease crossing into the human population - especially if the cause is in either the water sources or the soil. Dr McCann points to the Covid-19 pandemic, which is believed to have started in animals.

"Yes, it is a conservation disaster - but it also has the potential to be a public health crisis," he said.

Rexdragon125

Yes. There are 2 event horizons in a spinning black hole. The outer one is where light falls in from gravity. In the inner one, light no longer falls inward but cannot resist the rotating space. If the centrifugal force equaled the gravitational force, the two event horizons would merge and cancel out. Theoretically the singularity would be visible, and it would be ring shaped due to the centrifugal force. This naked singularity has never been observed though.

Super rich hold $32 trillion in offshore havens

Something I will never understand: the idiotic self-harm billionaires inflict upon themselves. As the general population becomes poorer, less innovation occurs. Fewer small businesses open, and fewer inventors are able to put cool products on the market.

If I was a billionaire, I would be pushing so hard for redistribution of wealth even out of purely selfish desire for more interesting stuff to buy.

Hell, if all the billionaires banded together and dedicated half their collective fortunes to some pie-in-the-sky project (for instance, extreme life extension, or the elimination/mitigation of aging) then they could all benefit from the rewards and not see their lifestyles change one iota for the worse.

It's pure, distilled greed. They want money for the sake of having money. They don't even seem to realize that they could selfishly benefit from a wealthier society.

It's so absolutely mind-boggling. They're trying to be selfish, but because they're so absurdly short-sighted about it, they're missing out on so much potential benefit.

Just to illustrate this point: would you rather be one of the richest people on the planet in the 18th century, or would you rather live a comfortable middle-class life today? I 100% choose the latter. I have access to modern medicine, the internet, video games, all kinds of sights and sounds that the wealthiest people on the planet could never have dreamed of 300 years ago. And the only reason it's all been possible is because we have millions upon millions of people with enough money and education to innovate. Imagine the kind of world we could live in if every single person currently living in poverty was instead afforded a middle-class lifestyle.

We could have eliminated age-related health problems and established a Mars base by now if the billionaires of the world could just be satisfied with a few hundred million dollars instead. No matter how selfish you are, the argument for wealth redistribution still benefits you.

That most likely means your office doesn't have enough bandwidth for its internet connection. If they have a 50 Mbps connection and someone downloads a large file, it's most likely going to hog up that whole 50 Mbps, which means a lot of traffic is going to get dropped at the "choke point."

A lot of companies don't properly size their internet service for what they need either out of not knowing how much they need or the desire to pay as little as possible for the service.
Thanks, I thought it was something like that. We already have fiber Internet, I forget how fast it's supposed to be. Wonder if there's a way to like limit people's Internet bandwidth so one person can't hog all of it.

$1000 dollars to every adult in the US per month would add up to over $3 trillion dollars a year. The entire federal government budget is only $4.4 trillion. You're talking about a 70% increase like it's the equivalent of skipping out on Starbucks every day.

I hope you understand numbers a bit better now.
You don't need to give money to every American, only the ~40 million in poverty who actually need it. Try again.

I used to be staunch Rush Limbaugh listener when I went to college. I was so scared of being brainwashed but I never saw any of it. If anything the right is trying to brainwash people. If they criticize someone it's almost always a projection.

Republicans don't like critical thinking itself. They don't just want people to be bad at math... They want people to fundamentally not be able to logically criticize indifference as a concept. Straight-up 1984 doublespeak.

Knowledge-Based Education We oppose the teaching of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) (values clarification), critical thinking skills and similar programs that are simply a relabeling of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) (mastery learning) which focus on behavior modification and have the purpose of challenging the students fixed beliefs and undermining parental authority.
