Just curious, when they first played Mario RPG, who else initially thought that Exor was Smithy? Because for one thing, you never learn his actual name until fighting him. What also didn't help were commercials referring to him as "Smithy the Sword".

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned already, but throughout the game some areas have hidden treasures boxes which will only be made visible by hitting them. The only way to tell what areas have them is by equipping an item called the Signal Ring. Which you don't get until later on. However one of the hidden boxes is in the first hallway of the Mushroom Kingdom castle and the only way to reach it is to jump on Toad's head and then when he reaches the doorway, jump to the platform above the doorway. This can only attempted the first time Mario enters the castle. Way before you even get that ring and find out there's a hidden box.

He was a bomb. Most of the star bosses are weapons (axes, daggers, spears, etc).

Incidentally, nothing in his dialog suggests that he's part of the Smithy Gang. He was just dicking around on his own.

That's because he wasn't part of the Smithy Gang. As when you reach the factory near the end of the game, you don't fight any replicas of him like you do with the bosses that were. He's also not mentioned among the other bosses that were part of the Smithy Gang, plus the regular boss music plays when fighting him instead of the one that plays during fights with Smithy Gang bosses.

I think that may be it. If a Japanese show isn't aired in the west, then not many people outside of Japan will be aware that it exists. A lot of people know about Power Rangers, but unless they're part of the online PR fandom it's unlikely many of them know about Super Sentai. A lot of people that were kids when PR debuted stopped watching as they got older. I wasn't one of them though. However I myself didn't find out about Sentai until fall 2001.

It's such a wild delusion for people to even come up with all these conspiracies and to think people are making COVID up or making it seem like way more of a problem than it really is. I mean is like basically every country in on this just to make Trump look bad? obviously we know that protests have caused some spread of the virus, that is obvious when you have large crowds close together with many not wearing masks. we know that the recent spikes are not largely due to protests though, they are due to mass reopenings, especially with bars and resteraunts

Yeah, like I mentioned before, part of the problem is people acting like things are back to the way they were when they started to reopen places and not seeming to understand the reason for the lockdown was to try to reduce the spread. Not get rid of it completely.

I'm in Michigan and what I find interesting is that Gov Whitmer just enforced a rule that if one doesn't wear a mask they'll be fined and people are ripping her apart for it(you know trying to save people's lives). Whereas both the governors of Florida and Texas are being ripped about for how poorly they handled things in their respective states.

I still don't comprehend how some people believe this virus to be a hoax. It would have to be history's most prolific hoax to ever be carried out.

It seems the hard way is the only way people like that will learn. They'll have to experience having it themselves. Because even if a close friend or family member catches it and ends up passing away, they'll likely claim that it was either pneumonia or respiratory failure or some preexisting condition. Because they're the types that feel that they always have to be right about something.

Aside from imbeciles still claiming the virus to be a hoax or refusing to wear a mask because they feel it violates their freedom, one of the biggest problems is that a huge chunk of the public treats opening back up as "virus defeated and over - no more social distancing, no more masks, no more anything ever again." As if everything is back to normal. That's not how it works.

Most people just go along with the idea that it is a hoax because they are selfish and would rather their life continue unaffected and take the small risk of death, which they cannot fathom actually happening to them, than possibly wear masks or not go to Applebee's for awhile. Americans are especially bad about this because they all believe good things happen to good people who deserve it and bad things happen to bad people who deserve it, which is how the well off justify the massive inequality, which is very obviously a tale they tell themselves just like the hoax people.

You also have people that have this nonchalant "If I get it, I get it" attitude. For one thing, even if someone catches it and survives, there's no telling what kind of long term damage it can do. Where the heck have you been? Because that's exactly what people were saying when it was announced they would be doing a Guardians movie. Their main reasons being the characters not being popular enough and because of characters like Rocket Raccoon and Groot. The former argument never really made sense as if being popular beforehand was a requirement, then it would mean that no original movie can ever be successful as it features characters no one knew nor cared about. Hell prior to his movie Iron Man was an unknown B-lister among non comic readers and he started the MCU. As a matter of fact, Ant-Man was even lesser known and the original plan was to launch the MCU with him instead of Iron Man.

And if audiences could handle something like a 7 foot anthropomorphic dog-like creature that doesn't even speak a language that the viewer can understand, I'm not sure what gave people the idea that a talking raccoon and a talking tree would be the breaking point for others.

When the comic book movie craze started in the 00s, if you were to say that an Aquaman movie would have not only been better received, but also make more money than a movie starring Batman and Superman, people would have laughed at you.

DC's problem is it seemed like they were trying too hard to catch up with Marvel. What they should have done is before BVS, they should have made a solo Batman film and maybe a Man Of Steel sequel. Then after BVS, along with Wonder Woman, also have Aquaman and Flash in their own films in order to better establish their characters before teaming up in Justice League.

No, like, obtuseness has no place in a freaking pandemic. Indecisiveness is just as culpable when the proven control methods consistently stomp the curve in various places like Czech Republic or Korea or even NYC to lesser extent where they didn't fall victim to indecisiveness.

What makes it worse is that there are nurses that battled the virus and have experienced first hand what it can do to those that catch it and even their own friends and family members are calling it a hoax. Hell there's a recent article about a guy who caught the virus and died after attending a party. What was the party for? To see if the virus was real and to see who gets infected. The real kicker is that the host had already been diagnosed with the virus. If that's not enough proof for all these conspiracy theorists out there, then they're beyond help.

Shortly after it was announced to be a pandemic, there was an article about a 21 year athlete that caught it and ended up passing away because it turned out that he also had leukemia and wasn't aware that he had it.

Even for those that catch it and survive, there's really no telling what long term effects it can have on them.

Exactly. The "mainstream" tends to ignore rappers that have positive lyrics and not stuff like money, cars, sex etc. Hence why the latter stuff gets often played on the radio.
