No, he has nothing to gain and potentially a lot to lose. The democrats may even try to have there not be any debates. My two predictions of how this might go down, would be to either drum up something so they can say trump is obviously illegitimate and they wont legitimize him by debating him, or, and I like this one better... the only debates theyll agree to will be hosted by media organizations that obviously favor them to a significant degree. Then they can just let trump refuse. Except I dont think he would. Hed be a lot more likely to just ignore the questions and attack Biden face to face.

The rest of the year is going to be such a shitshow.

Oddly enough, the novel this show was based on features a politician a lot like Trump. I don't know how his story plays out in the show though.

I dont really see the comparison to trump. Theres significantly less in common between the two than virtually any other republican politician.

I disagree. There is always a reason to give the benefit of the doubt to the unpopular side of an argument when youre trying to have a meaningful discussion.

Im assuming it is to avoid bugs that might pop up if you do certain things before others. Otherwise I cant see any reason for the change. Youd eventually have to do those missions to progress anyway.

Or, you could take them up on it, and then use the money you would have used to pay it off yourself

The "description" given is very nebulous and describes a majority of black people. There were no distinguishing features given that match the victim. Certainly not enough for your claims that he was "almost certainly" commiting a crime.

It's definitely worth bringing up lol saying he's was guilty of something is a way to dismiss his death and you know it. Just stop.

Im guessing you havent looked into this situation very deeply.

Its mostly based on a call from the area about a break-in moments before the incident with a description matching the victim. There is also video of this, but has not yet been released. Theres also some smaller things that dont matter as much such as they werent wearing attire that is conducive to jogging and they have a criminal record.

Now, they might have been jogging. It just isnt worth bringing that up. Its gives people the chance to say jogging while black = death penalty!!!, but it also opens you up to be completely discredited and have it all be for nothing, with racist assholes going forward using he was just jogging! in the same way they use he was a good boy he just needed money for clothes for school!.

Lets not go down that road. It is outrageous and unlawful on the surface with just the facts.

There is sufficient evidence to be outraged about this incident. Citizens arrest does not apply because they did not witness the commission of a crime. They committed a felony by illegally detaining the victim. A death occurred in the commission of a felony so the felony murder rule applies. Murder one. Open and shut.

Going forward leave out all mention of jogging and jogger. The victim was almost certainly fleeing the scene of a crime. But that doesnt matter. The hyperbole about them being an innocent jogger hurts the integrity of the entire movement. Cease this immediately.

The arena battle wasnt bad. The one shot where it shows the crowd from a distance and lightsabers start popping out randomly all over the place was awesome. I was going to do the same thing with my wedding video.

I looked into the state's citizens arrest laws which the first prosecutor cited when he declined to charge them. Things is, just by there being 3 of them with guns trying to surround someone in this circumstance, they couldn't have reasonably been in accordance with the law, there was no reasonable proof that the guy was commiting a crime or fleeing from a felony. So neither circumstances that would allow for the father or son to citizens arrest would apply. And the neighbor joining in also would be an obvious violation because he hadn't witnessed any of it. Basically, at the very least we've got all 3 of them on illegally detaining someone even before the gun related threats would come in to play. And in that regard, a man being illegally detained and fighting back to escape HAS been held up in the man's favor before in the state. So yes, this constitutes murder because they killed a man they had illegally detained. At the very least, the father and son should be charged with murder and illegally detaining while the neighbor should get an illegal detention and accessory to murder charge.

Thing is, even with a different prosecutor I have zero reason to believe that any of them will ever be charged on any of these crimes or even egregiously lessened ones.

We can debate the things it covers, but an overall guide about what limitations the government has seems like a good starting point in theory.
