It only occurs when the groups that they have differing identities in mix, so it doesnt always apply, but when they do, it can give you an idea about who they are willing to allow to see both sides of them. Usually the ones they conceal the shift from are the group they feel less comfortable with. I didnt bother watching the video. Is it worth it? |

Im not even sure additional training would do much to solve the situation at hand. Its more of a pervasive culture within departments and people within those departments either initially being unsuited for authority due to personality traits, or slowly developing those traits over time. Im not sure how classroom time is going to help with that. Some issues might be mitigated with additional instruction, but often times the ones doing things incorrectly or dangerously know they are acting outside of their training. |
