I know its not exactly the same thing as public speaking but I'm getting the same pre-presentation anxiety I do when I speak in front of actual people.

I've been there, like almost the exact same story honestly. I didn't lose that much that fast, but I went from weighing 200 lbs at 18 to 145 at 24. At my lowest I was 135 but I bulked and cut a few times over those years.

After college I just stopped giving a shit and got back up to 200ish. I've been working on it, though. I'm about 170 now. I would say it's been a lot easier to get back into after having done it before, you just gotta stick with it long enough to see the effects, which imo is about a month or so

The two bad parts of service sector jobs in my experience are employees and bosses. So which of those is the bigger issue for you depends on where you are on the food chain. of course middle management gets it worst.

Lots of service sector employees complain about customers and there are bad customers, but they paled in comparison to shitty coworkers - again, anecdotally in my experience.

The other parts of management don't seem to bad, except to the extent that they involve managing people

I'm 36 - there is literally less time between my birth and Elvis' first album than there is between now and Nirvana's first album - hell, the gap between Kurt's death and now is only one year less that Elvis' debut and my birth. I have seen lots of middle class women analyzing Kobe's impact on - mostly white - women. It's a gross oversimplification of Kobe's life. It's a flawed analysis of rape culture. It's a demonstrated lack of intersectional awareness. It's what white feminism does: ignore everyone but themselves for the sake of their own pain.
No one can afford that.

Doesn't this defense also apply to, like, Bill Cosby or any number of other alleged rapists? I don't think "he paid her off" is usually framed as justice in this context.
