Oh yeah definitely. It's a gold standard for shonen despite nothing else really being like it. And I should have said at least 45 volumes because many people would consider it consistent to this day (and in some ways it is but in some I dont agree). --- |

I like the scenes she's in but as a character there's very little attachment. That basically goes for every character and plot line besides the four bros, which I agree carried the game hard on their backs. I still didn't even like how they were utilized when the "main" story kicks in, but most of the game is just palling around in the open world so it doesn't ruin the experience or anything. --- |

Surge, Erika, Sabrina, Koga (sometimes I do go to Koga first since the game seems to imply this is the "correct" order, but I don't see why anyone would leave Saffron without attempting Sabrina first) 4. I'm not sure I ever used a poke doll though! 6. I think I tend to go with the route that seems to be numbered first, which is the east side, but it also depends on if I feel like grinding out a pokemon good against poison or water. 7. The normal way! I go through seafoam, beat cinnabar, and then complete the circumnavigation by going to Pallet. (You have to fight all those Swimmers anyway!) 8-9. I like to go to the power plant between the 7th and 8th badges so that there's a dungeon in between them, and so I catch the birds in the uno dos tres order. I would normally use it on Mewtwo, but sometimes I like to capture him legit as a sort of superboss battle. --- |
