Which is perfectly acceptable, and so the answer to the original question would be "yes, it is possible."

It's not surprising in the least if you think about it for even half a second.

The guy was a public figure who influenced and affected the lives of millions of people across the globe. He did so through his athletic achievements, his philanthropy, and through his day-to-day dealings with friends and family. Random Joe Shmoes like you and me only do the last part.

It's also pretty stupid to claim that just because someone didn't know Kobe personally that he hasn't influenced their life. Have you literally never heard of the concept of "pop culture"? Famous actors, athletes, politicians, celebrities, etc all have huge impacts on peoples' lives whether they actually ever shook a given person's hand or not. You'd have to be pretty ignorant of the world to think otherwise.

Yes, but it was literally just 1 person who had some kind of personal grudge against me and held it throughout all of middle/high school.

I never did figure out what his problem was, or why it was only me he had a problem with. Nobody else had any idea either, and a bunch of other kids would regularly take my side and tell him to fuck off. It was very weird and more confusing than traumatizing. But it was really annoying and he literally never gave up on it. :-/

I almost always play as a female character when given a choice for a few different reasons.

Of course, there's always the old standby for 3rd-person games that it's more enjoyable to stare at a female ass for 60 hours. But I also find it amusing to see a tiny woman wielding massive greatswords and shields the size of a door. Like it's relatively impressive when you have a giant buff dude running around roflstomping enemies, but it's even more amusing when you're the smallest character on the battlefield and you're doing that.

Also, in my experience, female voice acting is almost invariably better than the male voice acting. Just look at FemShep.

Claims like these are, sadly, almost universally ignored without hard proof like this video. Why do you really think people frequently wait years, or even decades, to report abuse? It's really pathetic, but the majority of the time it's the victims who get the least support from family and/or the community.

Got the front 5 on top and the front molars on either side of the bottom replaced with dental implants. Best decision of my life, tbh. Can't even begin to explain how big of a change it was to actually be able to open my mouth and smile in public without being ashamed and embarrassed by my teeth. It has literally changed my life.

why even ask CE

Because I thought it would be interesting to see what people thought. Though the question didn't get interpreted the way I was intending, and that's my fault for not wording it better and making it clear the potential consequences weren't part of the dilemma.

I just think that it's a small enough sum of money that I wondered if people would be more or less inclined to keep it. It won't affect the business at all because it's so small, but it's big enough that an individual might think "hey, that's a free lunch tomorrow" or something along those lines.

Literally risking your job for the price of a Chipotle burrito.

I mean...it's really not a risk. There's no way for anybody to know, since I work solo and the drawer comes out exactly as expected. And that's ignoring the fact that the owner employed my predecessor on this night shift for over 20 years despite the guy stealing from the store literally every shift.

So I guess the question is better phrased as "If there's no risk of being caught, would you keep the extra 4 bucks or leave it in the drawer?"

I meant it to be more of a moral dilemma than an actual question about risk/reward and consequences.

What would you do?

I just ran out of pennies in the register, so I grabbed another roll out of the safe. It felt a little weird (more flexible than usual), but it said pennies so I didn't question it. But when I tore it open and dumped it into the register drawer, out came about 10 pennies and the rest were dimes. O_o

So now I have a bit of a conundrum. See...I could leave the pennies in the drawer along with 4 of the dimes, giving me the 50 cents in my drawer that was expected, but leaving me with about $4 worth of dimes extra. Now the thing is, this roll has been in the safe for probably a couple weeks. It's been counted dozens of times as if it was 50 cents. So as long as I put 50 cents into the drawer, the store won't actually know there was anything other than 50 pennies. I could pocket the extra dimes and nobody would be the wiser.

But I don't generally steal from my employers as that obviously tends to turn out poorly in every case I've witnessed. But in this case, am I really stealing from my employer? I mean...they expected 50 cents and that's exactly what they'd get. So the only person actually losing anything here would be the bank we get our change from, who would be losing it regardless of my choice.

What would you do? Would you keep the extra, or would you just put it all in the drawer?
