That's why I don't read the news. It's fear-mongering to the max. We all thought the world was going to end during Y2K. We all thought the world was going to end during 9/11. We all thought the world was going to end during the 07-08 bank crisis. Now this is happening, and everyone thinks we will have to be indoors for 2+ years as our health and economy crumble.

We need to get on with our lives. These doctors saying "Shelter for two years!" or "Close the grocery stores!" are just loud noise. Literally expecting humans to just be fine with hiding for months on end, with no real end in sight...that's more crazy than people going to the beach.

The Switch has completely taken over my gaming life, to the point where I don't even care about old Playstation games I used to love. Final Fantasy? Haven't purchased one since FFXII. Any of the FPS games? Haven't played one since Halo 4 and Call of Duty...something or other (2012 release?). The delay has killed my hype for the next Last of Us, even though I enjoyed the first, and even Cyberpunk seems too meh to me.

I've completely embraced my childhood. Mario, Zelda, Animal Crossing, and silly 2-player games with my wife (Overcooked 2 and soon to be released Moving Out). My new "Final Fantasy" is now Xenoblade, and I am highly anticipating replaying one of my favorite games of all time coming out in May.

I feel like such a Nintendo fanboy, but I really don't care.

The media doesnt mind us stuck in our homes, absorbing every damn map and data point they spew out, and Im sure Google, Apple, and Microsoft dont mind us gobbling up all their stupid streams and shows.

Also, anyone who posts a headline about us having to hunker down into the summer and perhaps rethink our society until 2022 is frankly bonkers, and out of touch with reality. You expect the human race to just be fine with not making any money, not providing for their families, and avoiding others for 2 years? The hell?

Next winter well see the same headlines. The media and the powers that be would rather us be scared and powerless than have hope.

People ITT dont account for workers like me, where spring is 50% of their annual income.

City fairs, travel agents in DC (cherry blossom) and most cities that are gorgeous in April and May, local restaurants that rely on foot traffic, coffee shops that dont have drivethrus...

Leases, mortgages, employee wages dont stop when the economy does. Forbearance still means you have to pay.

We need to get back to work. Every city and town isnt NYC.

It's something I try to read everyday. Well, I am a Christian.

I love how the book of Isaiah, which has been proven to actually exist, and be made thousands of years before Jesus, literally described the man, and what he'd come to Earth to do.

And I love how the Book of Isaiah is in the Torah, so Jews can't write it off.

I lost 40% of my income, and I have cousins and co-workers who have lost up to 80%. March, April, and May are busy in my profession, and now that part of our business has been wiped out.

I'm a travel agent btw, travel is practically dead, and could be for the next year and a half. I've been buying stuff locally and selling it on Ebay to make due. This sucks.

TC thinks everyone works a 40 hour work week at some random corporation. Small businesses keep America running, and now half of them may be dead.

Any Jesus-believing Christian should see this as a warning. Soon, the world will proclaim Christianity, and all religion, as unlawful and against the state. Everyone will be subject to some sort of chip device to do business around the world, as threats of global pandemics, terrorism, and other issues pop up in more frequency.

God is telling us to worship Him in our homes, and that we don't need a physical place to gather for worship, as soon we will be chastised and hated by the world. Honestly, we are already hated, but soon it will become more sinister and blatant.

At least that's how I see this. Home church can bring about better results, than just "give one hour to a building a week".

Im the opposite. Probably lost 50% of my income, and my family business is pretty much on hold (travel company). Lots of my cousins have lost 80-90% of their income, and some have to find another job, because almost ALL of their trips have cancelled from March until June.

Im so happy this show has fans, and that its gone on for this long. Breaking bad was one of my favorite shows, but this just blows it out of the water for me. Obviously Breaking Bad has more epic moments, but the characters in this are so compelling. Also, Jimmy and Kims wedding, and their professed love for each other, is just killing me, cause I know that Jimmy could have been happy with the sweetest girl he could ever find.

The trainwreck that is incoming is gonna suck, but these 10+ years of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul is so worth it. Someone 10 years from now will get to witness all of this back to back, Im envious of them.

Honestly, I have a feeling a lot of those hospitalizations are people who may feel sicker than usual, and just go to the hospital because this virus has so much hype behind it. They get treated a couple days, and are told to go home as they recover quicker than others.

Frankly, we'd be better off if we didn't hype this thing to kingdom come, so every barely symptomatic person wouldn't come flooding into the hospital, causing it to spread in a vulnerable place.

Covid-19 is horrible, and wreaking havoc across certain countries, but it's death rate is around 30k right now. It's particularly bad in a country who has the oldest population, and who smokes the most, so the numbers shouldn't be too surprising. It's tragic, yes, but the flu has claimed WAY more lives.

The problem is we are tracking who lives and who dies. We aren't taking anything else into account. Did that 85 year old have a triple bypass last year? Is that 90 year old able to walk? Did the 55 year old just survive cancer? The media is tracking this with numbers, mostly using the color red, and it is working. We are huddled in our homes watching their every broadcast.

Frankly, this is getting tiresome for us who want to get out and work and support our families.

Those who live or take care of 65+ year olds should either take heavy precautions, or should be ordered inside as well.

I dropped Netflix for Hulu months ago, and aint looking back. Their shows are trash, and the only show that kept my interest was Stranger Things, but it seems as though they want to stretch the show out until it sucks like Walking Dead, so Im not looking forward to the next season.

Ive kinda waned on TV lately, only two shows I watch is Better Call Saul and LEGO Masters. LEGOs make me smile, and Better Call Saul is the best drama ever, second only to Breaking Bad. No show is as funny yet gut wrenching as it.

If the TV is on, Im usually gaming.

Different character types, different playthroughs, different tactics, maybe the DLC makes them restart with a new path.

I'm almost at 350 hours with Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Loved every bit of that game, and if it came out with more blades to level and more things to do, I'd put another 50 on it, easily.
