Yeah I agree with all of these platitudes. There was a time when I was a young horny teen who looked for the loophole in any rule. I didn't comprehend how bad I could hurt people until I did. Again, I dont want to sound like Im excusing myself. Im trying to be honest with what happened because either

A. Lots of the people I'm talking to in this topic are in the same boat. During the metoo movement the people who were outed were always the angriest shouters of platitudes like "no means no no exceptions" (you can forgive anyone but yourself)

B. People in here got good information at a young age and avoided hurting other people and developed healthy relationships. If this is the case I want to kinda figure out what worldview kept you away from mistakes like this.

Heck when "get an enthusiastic yes" became the new slogan for consent I was definitely confused because I had never known sexual politics to even work that way. I get it nowadays because I've been in the lab experimenting, but I definitely didnt have the tools to come up with that concept on my own.

I def cuddled with a girl while she was sleeping in similar context if you would like to use that. In the scenario I remember the cuddle was welcomed wholeheartedly and celebrated so to speak but it certainly could have turned out another way. I also imagine I was also simarly manipulative and pushy with other girls who had boyfriends in my younger years. I genuinely cant remember specific situations because I dont/didnt revisit it too often (it was ages ago in my mind) until the metoo movement, it's something that I would like to feel I grew out of but I couldn't tell you why or how (maybe just libido dying down in old age?)

In any situation when my dick has done the thinking Ive made very dumb mistakes that I "should" have know better than to make. I've apologized to those people and we've remained friends and as far as I know it's fine. It is possible that these situations may be looked at with a modern lens and the people involved might turn from forgiving to resentful as they view me not as a dumb teenager who made honest mistakes but part of the system of silenced sex crime.

You all seem to be okay vilifying these people so I'm wondering if my experience is that unique or if theres an element of hypocrisy here.

Yeah no one is arguing its not fucked up (outside of the fe board I guess). I'm saying sometimes we dont realize how bad we are until we fuck up. For myself personally, I fuck up constantly despite trying my best. Its usually the big fuck ups that make me realize I need to do better. I would argue I wouldn't do better unless I had those fuck ups as a wake up call.

I'm just curious, have you guys honestly never been in a situation where you fucked up really bad and hurt someone?

Paper Mario looks good, except for the parts where you play. Graphics are beautiful, boss battles are creative, dialogue looks fun. Also the music flippin shreds.

I think thats the most upsetting part about paper mario. It has some of the best features in a tedious and unplayable package. Its like getting the worlds best architects together to design a timeshare.

remember how pokemon names used to effect the pallet of pokemon slightly? It seemed like the name effected some sort of hue/tint slider somehow but I never really see ANY game do anything like this even though it's such an easy way to give players ownership over a part of the game.

like persona 3 if there was brief sections in the story when a npc showed up and also appeared in battle.

During the original video I laughed and said "they're never giving us partners again" because, like apparently the only sane person left on earth, I inferred that the old days of having "a partner" were long gone.

It felt pretty obvious nintendo heard the fan complaints about the lack of partners in the recent games and either

1. added a rushed version of partners to seem like they were returning to form
2. or took something that was already in the game and edited it to make it look like they were partners just like the old games

chances are the truth is somewhere between those two points but either way it's a kinda scummy thing that I expected to laugh about with other people here.

What I didn't expect was a buttload of people with the lowest standards known to man to look at this incomplete half-ass pander and say "yeah that's what we've been asking for"

I think one of my biggest problems with MGSV is that the Kazuhira burgers gag is like the only time the game even attempts to be funny. It's just a self-serious and kinda depressing game, which is a drastic departure from the cheesy and campy dialogue the series is generally known for.

I love FFXV. There's a bad dungeon at the end you can skip, but I didn't skip it, and even that wasn't terrible.

The plot isn't there. There's cup noodles everywhere, but you're you're able to enjoy a game just for the novel experience (being on the same board with you for a decade has taught me you can't really) then it's a pretty great game.

It's peaceful, and nice, and you can play the chocobo hot and cold song while you ride your chocobo so 10/10 great game

Not only transportation jobs, but also cars in general are adding more features that make local mechanic's jobs obsolete.

Currently reasonable people can buy older cars and replace parts but once self driving cars are a thing (And the only thing) say good bye to ever going anywhere but the dealership for car repairs.

Basically we're giving up all autonomy for the ability to play pokemon while we drive, it's not really worth it. It is pretty tempting though.
