There is a lot of sampling selection fallacies in these studies. Their hypothesis might not be entirely wrong but likely not correct to the numbers they are trying to showcase.

I think we end up beating projections, but primarily on the ground that our physical distancing numbers are actually already significantly better than what initial government projections estimated. So I imagine the models are also continuing to overestimate how much people will interact with each other.

The uncertainty for a month from now is probably huge.

I have never advocated for full lockdown until vaccine. I want a shrinking of the curve and then smart intelligent phased reopenings.

Hell I have literally been stating in these topics that I am of the opinion us ever creating a safe and effective vaccine is less likely than not.

One of the biggest things I remember about scaling is that at low levels a lot of enemies are missing key abilities.

That said, last time I played FF8 I stayed at level 1 and kept the party in yellow health for the entire game. It was easy mode for sure. There is no boss in the game that survives this strategy.

I went into this game with negative expectations but came out pleasantly surprised.

Bit disappointed that Red looks like a situation where they wanted to make him playable but ran out of time. He was still pretty great though.

As a country total likely yes but that is backed almost entirely on the New York area and their population size.

Breaking it down into smaller regions some places have reached peak and others have not.

There are few areas that have gotten the curve through a significant downswing however, which is where phased reopening actually should begin.

Or you know, listen to the guy peddling theory about swine flu killing half a million(The actual number is estimated to be somewhere between like 200k and half a million or so over...you know, a 20 month period. That is 5 times the approximate amount of time this coronavirus has been circulating around, and without most countries enacting various methods of strict quarantine. If this number is even accurate at all is entirely theory.

Coronavirus in 20% of that time has already killed 240000 people and that is not including what is likely anywhere from 60 to 150 thousand(This might be lowballing, we'll never know) deaths from China. With strict social distancing and other quarantine methods in place(We've seen what Wuhan looks like now).

Imagine the death toll if say...South Korea just treated this like a flu.

House 1 is potential death so I'll pass.

House 3 was like "fuck yeah" then I got to the point where it said the sound would be blasting full all the time. Thats pretty much 30 days of sleep deprivation. So that one is also death.

Of the other two, I am going with house 2 because it provides something normally unattainable in real life so I am not passing up that opportunity as much as the lack of shower sucks.

We're married now and I make too much money, so as far as I'm aware, we owe the hospital the money due to insurance being tied to her place of employment and that insurance being invalid since her industry it completely shut down by the coronavirus.

But after talking with them they've assured us we can just pay them in installments. You know, out of our own pockets, for years.

1) i think it was late Feb/early March when insurance providers started covering Corona related issues specifically for free and then in March government stepped in to cover all of it. costs here do not incur.

source? Because what I am seeing that didn't happen until April 11th for private insurance and the government stepped in to cover for the uninsured on April 3rd.

Also much of the coverage was reliant on a patient being recognized as requiring a coronavirus test at the very least, so if you went to a doctor and they did not feel a test was necessary, guess what, out of pocket.

So again, the system discouraged people from seeking treatment.

And again, I've said this before, some sort of change of the health care system was never a necessity to make treatment for this free(It would help) but the federal government absolutely failed to take the necessary action to cover the costs that could have been done months before they acted. It wasn't a fail of the system, it was a bigger failure of the federal government.

back in january plenty of people did, including the majority of the board. at best you had people saying they were lying by a little, a small multiplier, that 10x+ was way too out there. this would be roughly the time when they said they had 400-600~ deaths and there were reports and estimates citing them into low 5 digits.

I'm conflicted on BotW. It does some things right that most open world games do wrong in that there are countless different solutions and ways to play the game and almost any person would have a totally different answer on a number of things and yet everything that logically sounds like it should work does in fact work, even the crazier out of the box things.

Most open world games let you go where you want but the way of doing things is pretty standard.

On the downside, BotW still is also a vast empty space where exploration is often not properly rewarded or even at times improperly punished(That cool sword you just got is now gone because you decided to kill a few enemies for a reward of...nothing).

Any sequel would need more life to the world(More bird people please) and a way to have more meaningful exploration(Shrines felt...well, too shrine-contained). Would love a shrine-like replacement that is more built into the world instead of feeling like just a portal to the inside. There were a few of these but they still didn't feel quite right on this front.

Would love a return to Link having more useful tools at his disposal as well.

For its time, Morrowind really felt like a pinnacle of realistic cities. The attention to detail in Balmora, Vivec and Aldruhn was spectacular.

Morrowind was great and everyone treated me like dirt and felt I should be relegated to being a slave-cat.

The world got too homogenous in Oblivion and Skyrim even though I still enjoyed both.

for whatever reason my Switch didn't hold a charge last night and I woke up to sell Turnips but have no way to play.

Also the Switch will not play in docked mode with a dead battery apparently.
