Smash was likely cut because the online isn't stable enough for an open tournament and Nintendo never announces anything for it at EVO like the other original lineup games tend to get.

Character specific items in DD was a bad thing because there were like four characters that were just automatically better than the rest because of it while others just got items that were typically normal items like triple mushrooms/greens/reds.

I wouldn't really say Sword and Shield are predominantly hated. They've outsold everything but Red/Blue and Gold/Silver, which would suggest the hate isn't as prevalent as it seems since sales never really slowed down to suggest casual word of mouth was mostly negative or anything.

I was really hoping this thread wasn't going to become about Tara Reade again, but since it has I might as well ask what everyone thinks about this article.

The lack of consistency between what she said this year and what she said last year is going to be a problem. The fact that her sources changed their stories only after she did looks really bad and is going to be something Biden's defense can continue to point to. It's a legitimate reason to be skeptical, atleast until something bigger comes out, which is very sad if it's true.

It's that I think it is literally impossible to prove these sort of things in 99% of situations. The nature of bringing up 10-30 year old events as an accusation is that even people with the best memory are going to screw up details, which is why even the most believable victims have inconsistencies.

I think digging into these sorts of things is rarely worthwhile, unless a criminal trial is involved, you are literally just spreading FUD no matter what you find, it's an overwhelmingly negative response.

Joe Biden doesn't gain anything by digging up dirt on Tara Reade or Christine O'Donnel's niece (I don't recall her name), because vary rarely do people on either side of these things ever change their mind without a confession or video footage. So why do it?

Even when Rock said "I can't vote for Joe Biden", it took him all of one post to go back on that, and this is not a judgement on Rock, that's how these things work. He had his default position and it takes very little uncertainty to push him back there.

Hopefully this post gets my point across, or at the very least lets the people disgusted by me partially see where I'm coming from.

I understand this, and I appreciate the clarification. I'd also like to apologize for getting heated.

I'm just trying to make clear that in the most recent case being discussed, with O'Donnel's niece, it's not a case of people trying to "dig up dirt" on her to make her look bad. It's a case where actual investigation into her claims was done, and she made very, very specific claims that ended up being impossible. That's why people are suspicious in that particular case. Nobody's digging and going "Oh, the niece once lied about taking a cookie from the cookie jar, so she's a liar and not to be believed." It's "She said this happened specifically at Specific Event 1 and it was found out it couldn't have because he wasn't even there." When somebody makes a specific claim with a very specific detail and then that claim is looked into and it proves to be false, people are obviously going to be skeptical, especially when it happens twice. It'd be one thing if the allegation was vague and couldn't be proven, but it was very specific to start, and then very specific when it was changed, and both cases were found to be false.

So what I'm saying is jumping on people for that isn't really fair, and is furthermore a bad look when you start comparing those people to ExTha.

I'm just saying the consistency isn't there when you're trying to call people out here, because in both cases, it's people having their opinions shaped by evidence, so it comes off as hypocritical when you're trying to mock people for... Having their opinions change based on new evidence.

Couldn't Roo not throw or pick up items, though. Like, he was more "complete" than the other secret characters, but he was still fairly incomplete.

EDIT: Though I guess Shiva was, too, and they apparently gave him a full moveset.

So according to an update from the devs, the release date was April 28th but they delayed it kinda last second to May to finish a day one patch and the date didn't get properly changed in the system and thus basically got auto-released.

It's not really an old build, just the release build pre-day "1" patch that is still coming out in May.
