The average nice guy isn't putting on an act just to get laid, and isn't actually a misogynist or a monster. He's really just a guy who tries to be nice and get a girl to like him. He's probably putting in real effort, but he just isn't actually attractive enough physically or financially to succeed. Yes, it is his fault for not meeting the standard. But it's pretty toxic to say something like "nice guys aren't actually nice."
