The root issue is, again, ridiculous American partisanism and factioning.

The point is that anyone seeking to rely on scientists to deliver us from anti-science are looking in the wrong place. Science cannot convince people who refuse to believe in it. Science cannot be made more palatable, more convenient, without a severe loss of what makes it science.

It's not new information, certainly, but it is taking a stand.

It's literally a pan dish.

Casserole is just when you throw some shit in a baking pan, stick in the oven, and call it a day. It's almost completely tied to the dish.

Sometimes there'll be some kind of bread or breadcrumb stuff surrounding it so it seems like a cohesive object but don't be fooled. That shit is goop inside.

This is not to say I've not had good casseroles, no disrespect. My mother god rest her still-living soul makes a mean kielbasa casserole and I love it dearly.

Now this is a cutscene where you're pretty much strapped into a chair and can't move so there was more freedom available to script her movements, but watching things like the movement of her eyes and her head.

These guys are going bananas to crawl out of the uncanny valley and there's some real payoff in their efforts.

Not entirely true. While they don't succumb to gravitational force, they exert a pull by virtue of the energy that forms the blade that can be difficult to control. Think of it like wielding a stick that was constantly vibrating.

But you're right in that the prequel battles are a mess of foppish showmanship rather than actual dueling.

My favorite lightsaber battle in the entire canon is Kenobi and Maul's final duel.

Clone Wars did end up producing some good content, especially when you're examining the piercing questions of "what do the Jedi serve by participating in the Clone Wars" and "what does it mean to be a sentient being whose only reason for existence is to be a soldier in this particular war".

Of course, this is mostly a question that other writers addressed as a reaction to Lucas' answer generally being "lol saber go brrr".

Which is to say if Lucas hadn't insisted on showing the Clone Wars, we could have easily got similar content in other formats and settings.
