Ugh im doing bad dudes. Real bad. Its not that i think what this person said was true - its not, and they would have absolutely no way of knowing. Its that someone i decided to spend time with would say something like that to someone in my vulnerable position for no fucking reason. It was simply for the drama. Im so fucking down on myself now. Im not going to hurt myself or anything like that but i feel sick to my stomach. My future is not ok. Im not going to be ok. Its all sadness.

Buddy, you need to calm down.
A buddy told you about a rumor being spread about you and your separated wife.
No one else knows more about what transpired between your wife and yourself but you two.
You didn't start the rumor and most likely she didn't as well.
So there is absolutely nothing to be worried about when it comes to those 5 people simply speculating about shit they know nothing about.

Understand that when these types of negative thoughts come to your mind, don't fuel them with attention.

I guess. Just make sure you take care of yourself.

I'm trying my best but if things don't work out, I'd much rather be single than to remain in an unhappy relationship.

But really he shouldnt need you around to not drink. That shouldnt hinge on you at all.

That's in a perfect world.
We don't live in a perfect world though and people get lonely and don't always resort to wise alternatives.

Whoa, whoa, no! No one is responsible for someone elses alcoholism. Your post has all kinds of red flags. Are you safe? Please do not let anyone convince you that it is your fault he makes bad choices! If this relationship is toxic, you need to leave. If not, then you need to address your own sense of misplaced guilt.
@KINDERFELD

I don't think I'm to blame for my husband's drinking but I do understand that because I'm not there with him, he gets bored and sits on the couch drinking.

I feel bad that I cannot spend more time with him when I really want to.

Thats good news. Hopefully that sticks.
Try to spend time together whenever you can even though its hard now. You want to make sure the relationship is still there when youre done school

That's what I'm most fearful of.
That he would get bored of waiting and start seeing someone while I'm at work or school.

Sad thing is you can't put it past anyone to do something like that given enough motivation and reason.

So not only am I overworked from school and my job, I'm also stressed out that my absence may give him reason to cheat.

We spoke specifically about that this week and tomorrow he's off and going to go hang with some coworkers.

That really sucks, sorry to hear that... what are you going to do?

I asked him to holdout for me. I'll be finished with school this year and have more time to dedicate to him.

I just want him to slow down with the drinking. I really miss doing things with him. He's my best friend.

Talking about it now, I realize how much I am a cause for his drinking. He's home alone every night missing me, I get home from work and school and I'm dead tired, hang on the couch with him for about an hour before going to write papers or go to bed.

I feel like we just live together and pay bills together.

I really want to be done with school already so I can spend more time with him.

Could be man... i dont know what to say... it sucks but im looking forward to the future - i havent been single in quite a while so im excited to see where it goes

My husband and I have been together for 15 years and married for 5 years.
We had a perfect relationship till we got married.

Now my husband has turned into an alcoholic who literally gets plastered every night.
We don't argue a lot but we certainly don't spend much time doing things together anymore.

I'm a grad student who also works all the time so that might be mainly why but I've noticed that because I'm gone 7 days a week, he sits at home alone and dinks himself silly.

So, it installs the Rockstar Games launcher / Social Club, which looks like it's 340 MB of space on its own. It's all fairly transparent though - when you launch the game from Steam you see the RSC splash screen pop up for a few moments and then the game starts. It's not as invasive as Uplay it seems like.

I would say that I got to the second part of the introduction, where it's now snowing and sunny, and things are flickering. At first I thought it was the foggy snow effect, then I thought it was the shadows from the mountain outcroppings and then the whole sky was flickering.

I haven't had a chance to touch it - was on the phone for the past hour or so - but I'm gonna try to disable SLI once I know the game's saved so I don't have to replay all this >_>

Sounds like I should continue to hold out till these issues are fixed.
I know the game is super demanding as is too. I have a gtx 1080ti and if I cannot duplicate the Xbox 1X resolution and graphics settings at 60fps, then its poorly optimized for PCs.

The gameplay is hilariously stiff and outdated now, but I thought the story was more focussed, and the world was an excellent representation of how lower class citizens are truly judged and handled. It's still a good game.

What platform are you playing it on?

I first played it on PS4 Pro and the combat felt very stiff indeed.
I'm now replaying it on pc at 60fps and way less input lag and the combat almost feels entirely different.

Its amazing how much a difference 60fps and less input lag can be.

contestants are not given a study guide or what the categories are or any information about the game they are going to be participating in before the game begins. i don't know where people get these ideas from. they are wrong. contestants are however put through a rigorous try-out process consisting of an online test, in-person test and practice games.

Rachel Lindgren, yeah, she did very well in her regular run and then participated in the most recent tournament of champions.
