Honestly, children just don't bring me joy. It's not just "oh, kids suck," but the idea of creating a life and watching it grow just does nothing for me on a fundamental soul level. Of course you sound like a villain if you say so out loud, but it's my truth.

While I'm not opposed to the thought of raising a child, I've never really felt the inherent desire to do so. On top of that, I think that there are already far too many people in the world to sustain in the long term, and that amount is expected to grow for the rest of this century.

And as mentioned before ITT, it's ok to have children. I believe it's even important that people are made a little more aware of that, especially women, since they are socially pressured to have children much more than men.

Changing a babies' diapers is not something I want to do, it's also too expensive when I factor in that I'm one an importer of games and idol CDs and two, I always want the latest device for emulating old games every year, there's no money for kids to spare.

The idea of having children solely so you have someone to take care of you when you're older is extremely selfish. I wouldn't want to put that burden on a family member. I would rather pay someone whose job it is to do that. Your children aren't toys, they're their own people.

i'm cool with kids and me and the wife would be alright if she got pregnant. but we're totally fine with not having kids and being dope a dope aunt/uncle.

we just don't have that urge, plaint and simple. not everyone craves the same life experience.

My sister got pregnant by accident and as much as I love my nephew my sister could not handle it by herself and leans on our mother and me for help. I wouldn't even consider having one until I get my shit together at least.

My gf and I are almost mid 30's and people are always giving us shit for not wanting kids. We usually just lol but some people seem strangely affected by a decision that doesn't effect them.

My wife and I waited later than most of my friends my age to even start trying to have kids, then found out there were complications and it took another 3 or 4 years to actually have one, so yeah, I got a lot of that being in my mid-30's. Like my actual close friends never really bothered me about it, it was usually acquaintances and random strangers. But yes I don't understand why people think its their business if I even want to have kids or not, or if I do but can't, etc. Like I wasn't really too bothered by it because whatever people ask stupid things sometimes but my wife would get really upset. >_>

And of course now people ask us about having a second child. :(

Better be all in and financially stable before having a kid or life sucks. Fortunately I am stable in both ways. I know too many people that had kids too early or with the wrong person - they love their kids but quality of life can really plummet if not careful.

Lived through life babysitting my siblings into my nieces and nephews well into my 30s. Atm, kids are not in my radar nor do I desire them. If a woman with baggage comes along then oh well.
