I mean I know it's GOOD but RE2Re good? Idk. I'd argue REmake is the better one since it improved on the first game without removing or sacrificing anything (...apart from the cheesy voice acting). Though REmake 2 is great because it plays wonderfully and looks amazing. Paper Jam was going in the wrong direction for the series, though, as it went for the stale NSMB/post-Super Paper Mario Paper Mario style with generic settings and no OCs. Yeah, given Mario & Luigi's penchant for more in-depth stories and OC villains, I was expecting the game to throw in a brand new villain to stop...but no. It ended with fighting Bowser, having to rescue Peach. ...No mystery at all. And felt like one of the shortest games in the series. Probably because Shinji Mikami wasn't head of that game. Also weirdly doesn't follow up on the first game (where you think it would, anyway) and instead focuses on fleshing out the main character's backstory that you only got a touch of in the first game. Both games are pretty good though, I think. It's just the two definitely feel different from each other.
