So, I played some last night. And was wondering why it felt like my character was in water the entire time. Then I realized I was playing Halo Reach which is slower than some other Halo games. But, man, hit detection continues to be awful in Halo for the most part, I don't know if it is crossplay or connections or what. Some games it is fine and the others it is like unloading at a ghost.

That said, I saw the progression system you are talking about and while it is exactly the same thing as fortnite's as far as rewards, it is rough. The rewards generally aren't very interesting and the way it fills up after a match is just silly. I get they are adding it to older games so they can't do much, but it's interesting.

That said, if we just assume 95 flat, that means that 95% of cops are good people doing their jobs and getting shit on nonstop by people whenever a situation arises. Sure, there are bad cops. People are human. I am sure bad cops likely diminishes in ratios to total cops than bad people to the populace does significantly. We should expect that. However, humans are human. There will be bad apples. And some cops just aren't even bad but potentially inept. It would be foolish though to act like the police do not literally exist to protect the populace though. That deserves respect and benefit of the doubt until that duty has been broken irreparably to the public in a court of law.

I didn't say there was an example. I pointed to a decade ago when cops was a major television show, in which people tuned in ironically not to see how the cops did their job but how to see how funny criminals were when they fucked themselves. By extension if someone did something insanely idiotic to get themselves killed also, it should be just an extension of well that criminal was just an idiot. But, nowadays blame the cops. Hey, guy is part of a driveby shooting. He is pulled over by the cops. They have every reason in the world to suspect you may have a gun and be armed and dangerous due to someone just being shot from that car. Let's flee the police and act pikachu shocked when he fires at you! Like, hello. That is you being idiotic. Not the cop being idiotic. The cops job is to protect and serve the populace. If he has a valid reason to believe you are a greater immediate harm to the public he serves, he is obligated to act to protect the populace.

Like I said, now we live in a world where we just incessantly blame cops for everything. You didn't act fast enough, you didn't prevent this death, and all the opposites that go along with it. I am not sure why people even want to be cops anymore in this climate. Probably 95%+ of cops are good cops helping the populace, and every single cop is treated as if they are worse than the criminals they deal with every day.

Edit: Also, that leaves out above just the fact that the police is also a human with human reactions. He is probably notably a bit on edge because he is pulling over a cop likely in a driveby shooting. He is probably alarmed when he sees a gun/gun shells or whatever he saw. Then the suspects begin fleeing in directions. Whether they are fleeing to cover to shoot at you, fleeing in general, etc, you cannot know. All you can know is that you have to make this decision in a snap with the information you have at the time. He made the decision he felt was best. He had a reasonable reason to act that way. It was never a doubt to the guilt or not in that case.

It boils down to me (ironically as opposed to Corrik, aka mr "the law = morality") thinking that the legal rights of citizens matters more than the comfort of those sworn to protect it.

I don't care if the cop is "afraid", even suspects of a violent crime have Constitutional Rights, because sometimes cops are wrong. A cop shooting an unarmed suspect in the back is wrong.

This is my moral and ethical belief, and the cop being found not guilty is completely irrelevant to that.

And you are just wrong. Like someone said before, cops are being damned no matter what they do. If that kid goes around the corner and shoots a pregnant mother, it is on the cop because he had reason to suspect the fleeing suspect was armed and dangerous and was a danger to society.

That's why the case is absolutely a slam dunk not guilty case. It's obvious.

This video is especially heinous, it clearly shows a civilian vehicle moving forward and the cops are firing and moving with it, using it as cover.
