It's not without its flaws obviously, no system ever really is, but it results in otherwise irrelevant parts of the country having actual influence. Sure, it leads to small parts of the population having disproportionate amounts of power, but is that actually worse than something like 30-40% of the country having essentially no power because the parties don't benefit from appealing to them (not helped by one of our favourite national hobbies being looking at literally anything that addresses a province other than our own and declaring the party in question only cares about that one province) , or is it just a different flavour of shit? --- Meow! |

He's good enough at dominating media attention that he'll cut into his opponents media attention, and if the impeachment talk doesn't go anywhere in time he'll spin it off as him being "proven innocent" and enough people will believe it. Plus if the economy is doing well, he's the guy in office and that always favours the incumbent. As much as a lot of people hate him (and I'm in that crowd myself, even if I'm not actually American), I think there are enough people out there receptive to being told all the controversies are just blown out of proportion for him to pull it off. --- Meow! |

Shorter time limits (like up to 20 minutes) tend to make it feel weird that ordinary matches of that length feature the same amount of punishment but end up with one guy down for the count, longer time limits almost always end up with parts feeling like the guys are stalling for time because they're out of ideas on how to keep the match going without making their own offense look utterly worthless. --- Meow! |
