I mean, earlier tonight I forgot to carve a Savage Deviljho's tail and ran back to it after it left the next area it had gone to to and it was still there after everyone else had carved it, so that's like...five minutes at least. I don't think it's a thing.

I've surprisingly have had good luck joining SOS's. Of course I use a custom message that says "Let's break the head!" that helps.

The worse part is getting the break and watching everyone cart trying to carve it. Haven't had a quest fail yet, but it comes close. It's not like the boss isn't going to die soon after anyway. At least put on a protective mantle.

I can get more reliable breaks solo, but admittedly it takes me forever. I'm not sure what method is better.

I hate combat carving because it reminds me of the dark days when I was dumb enough to actually do it myself <_<

Debut albums tend to be a sort of "best of" of all the bands demo material up to that point plus the best stuff they wrote for it, so they're often among the bands best because they have a lot more songs to choose from than on later albums when they're having to write most or all of it in a shorter time period

I've gotten really good at breaking Shara's head lately. Still haven't gotten the Gem, but at least I have a system now.

I got like five gems before the first time I even managed to get the scalp to come off <_< Now I have enough of his stuff to make whatever I need. Getting the second break is easy enough solo if you run partbreaker, it can be rough in multiplayer when others don't get the memo though. No idea why some people see it get knocked down and decide that attacking everywhere except the head is the answer.

Clutch Claw is well programmed and was very thoroughly tested. Just latched onto a monster and instantly died for no reason. Heard several other people saying they've had this happen too, in some cases when the monster is even in the drooling flinch pose they do to specifically allow you to clutch them.

Disc 1 by a mile. Disc 2 is mostly bad until the Garden battle which is mostly good. Disc 3 features the dumbest thing ever. Disc 4 is just a mediocre gimmicky final dungeon and a final boss fight that drags on far longer than it needs to for a fight that doesn't even try to challenge you.

Switch Axe is one of my favourite weapons in 3U and Generations (Ultimate) but I can't get into its World version, all the wild side to side swinging around just feels weird to me

The loading times to start a quest in World are longer than the total amount of time you'd spend on loading screens in a single quest between zones in the earlier games anyway

Stealth Rock is fine. By and large Pokemon don't get invalidated by it, if a Pokemon is good enough to be used they get used anyway, and SR is pushing them out of use they probably weren't that good to begin with. I think Moltres at one point is the one exception where it could have been solid if it weren't for SR, but stuff like pre-Mega Charizard was shit regardless, while things like Volcorona or Dragonite stayed relevant regardless

Too early to say. Iceborne is really good but it still has some of the original World problems, like the loading times being fucking atrocious, audio problems left and right, when two monsters meet they start spamming roars incessantly and either refuse to leave the area or they both go to the same place, Ancient Forest still being a blight on good sense, etc. Also not a big fan of the clutch claw mechanics, though part of that is definitely that I mainly play IG which gets the least mileage from it out of all the melee weapons due to having extra delay on firing the damn thing while still needing two attacks to soften a part.

The biggest benefit to recruiting her, even moreso than how good she is, is that you don't have to fight her ludicrous AS, avoid and crit rate. The generic replacement is still pretty nasty, but nothing like the real deal

Cool, turns out Zinogre didn't get butchered as hard as I thought and he's still fun. A bit too slow but at least he has some nice new tricks. Also roars too much but that's World in a nutshell, monsters roar non-stop and they follow each other around the map forever.

Actually I think it's a fairly easy one (as long as you learn early that the aerial stuff is very situational and mostly just for lulz), the extract thing is a bit of a pain to get used to collecting but once you do the moveset is pretty simple. It doesn't have wacky meter management and counters like longsword or require charging in place for ages like great sword, for example.

It's reasonably easy to get into actually, World made the start a bit smoother than it was in past games (and there are various youtubers who have made videos explaining basically everything in case). The crafting is pretty straight forward and there is no leveling up mechanic, your equipment is 100% of your power. The combat will definitely take a while to master but you can get the basics down pretty quick, especially if you pick one of the simpler weapons. The game still is a pretty big time sink overall though.
