Elder Scrolls vampires have very few of the listed weaknesses. Sun is the only one i can think of off the top of my head and in oblivion and Skyrim the weakness to sun isnt even that bad.

Nah they are pretty weak they just cant translate that into gameplay

Serena's mum is pissing herself in fear that Serana's dad will expose them and then they all die even if there was no Sun whatsoever

They can also be killed just as easily as humans. They just get some magic powers

I'm not really sure how you can do this without it feeling forced. I don't have a problem with it, it's just, someone sat down and made a decision to have a transgender main character, and something about that just doesn't feel right.

It barely came up at all in the entire plot and people still complained about it.

I never got the incentive to get that experience, it didn't seem to do anything.

It's why I like vampire games so much. The ones that really emphasize the lore and specificities behind vampires are the ones that really nail it, though. The ones that integrate it into gameplay, like Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines, or Vampyr.

Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines was great but Vampyr was awful IMO

Bumming round the streets giving people asprin and generic combat against fodder for hours was just boring as hell.

Plus the dialogue and characters were so stiff and awkward. I couldn't finish it

Read The Witcher series. Sapkowski makes them interesting as hell, as one of the best characters in the series is a vampire.

I liked the quest in Witcher 1 where

The Vampires opened a brothel and a dude wants to kill them.

And they're like "But we didn't do anything wrong!?"

and he's like "But you're vampires!"

And you have to pick a side and no matter which side you pick Geralt is like "Wait a minute... I just fucked that up."

Like them or not Dontnod seem to actually have legit artistic integrity.

They as I said stuck by their guns with Remember Me and got their budget crippled instead of taking the money.

Aiden Pearce was conceptially Asian and they had to change it to a white guy to be more marketable.

And Dontnods previous game Remember Me (an action game) had it's budget cut by 2/3rds when they insisted on making the main character a black woman and not changing it.

You can get around it with a create-a-character feature but developers have to sacrifice their ideas and art for marketability all the time

When I was in high school, I once wrestled 4 other dudes simultaneously (all of them vs me) who were barely smaller than I was, and they couldn't keep me down or pin me. I had never been trained in any kind of martial athletics other than wrestling for one year in middle school where I went 1 and 12.
