You see Kong in a few shots from footage. When Godzilla ultimately triumphs over Ghidora, one of the characters say theyre glad hes on the their side while another character who studies the monsters says For now.

How was it?

It was solid. Criticisms of the first movie were listened to. Lot more fights and Godzilla action. The main monsters had pretty good showings. I felt like the movie dragged on just a little in some parts and I wasnt very invested in the human characters aside from Ken Watanabes character.

Alright, I need to stop for the night since I have a long day ahead of me tomorrow but I honestly do not want to. I may set my alarm to around 6 am so I can get another hour or two in before my day starts. Last video game I woke up early to play more was probably either Nier Automata or Breath of the Wild back in 2017. Anyways, here are my initial impressions.

I like the presentation of the game and the U.I. It's nice to look at. I also like how objects are highlighted in this game. I'm getting more futuristic vibes off of everything here more so than the last games so that's pretty neat. Very cool that the protag is very different this time around but I'll get to that when I speak about the cast. Music is good so far. I like the Monokubs but I'm hoping Monokuma comes in again and steals the spotlight. I just don't know how the game would balance the Monokubs in addition to Monokuma himself. We'll just have to see. It's also great that the setting is back at a school. I missed the school setting from the DR1 even though I didn't mind the islands from DR2. I like what the devs have done with this school to make it different. All the plants growing everywhere and the general more abandoned vibe. It's cool.

Lastly, the characters. I'm going to start with the protag. Kaede Akamatsu who is the Ultimate Pianist. I like her and I like pianos. It's a win/win. I'm looking forward to seeing how she handles the events of the game especially compared to the other protags from the previous games. Then, the the Ultimate Detective, Shuichi Saihara. I'm sure he'll be the Kyoko/Chiaki of this game. He seems nice. There's Rantaro Amami, the Ultimate ???. He comes off as knowing more than he lets on. He definitely knew about the killing game in the very beginning of the game. I think he'll be important as the game progresses.

We have Miu Iruma, the Ultimate Inventor. A very useful Ultimate ability. I tend to like vulgar characters since I rarely curse in real life myself. I'll have to see more of her. I may end up liking her or hating her depending on how her character develops. The Ultimate Supreme Leader, Kokichi Oma, looks downright evil in his report card. I feel like he's bullshitting even about his Ultimate ability. I expect him to be murdered. K1-BO, the Ultimate Robot, is among the weirdest of the Ulitmates in this series. I'll have to see a lot more of him. Gonta Gokuhara, the Ultimate Entomologist, is awesome. I expected someone very different from what I saw so I'm pleasantly surprised. I like that he speaks in third person, too,

Tsumugi Shirogane, the Ultimate Cosplayer, doesn't stand out to me as much as some of the others. She seems kind of just there for now at least but it's nice having a more normalish student compared to some of these guys. Korekiyo Shinguji, the Ultimate Anthropologist... I think this guy is going to be awesome. I like his design. I like how he talks. I like him. Tenko Chabashira, the Ultimate Aikido Master, has some spunk to her. Not sure where the devs are going to go with her "I hate men" attitude but we'll see. Kirumi Tojo, the Ultimate Maid, is great. I like her design a lot and an Ultimate Maid seems fitting. She'll probably end up killing someone sadly. Maki Harukawa, the Ultimate Child Caregiver, seems pretty creepy. I wouldn't let her around any children personally. I like her, though.

Ryoma Hoshi, the Ultimate Tennis Pro, is weird. This guy is definitely not high school age. I don't trust him. Kaito Momota, the Ultimate Astronaut, is going to be a favorite of mine probably. I love astronomy and was going to major in it before switching to pre-med. For that alone, I like him. Himiko Yumeno, the Ultimate Magician, reminds me of an old friend. Regardless of what she says, she can't do actual magic. I'll be shocked if she could. Lastly, there's the Ultimate Artist, Angue Yonaga. I was wonder when the artist skill will pop up. Meh on her. I'll have to see more as the game goes on.

I am not liking V3 honestly. All the characters suck and even though the second one started slow, I still had a motivation to continue. I have no motivation to actually play this, especially since I hated everything about the first trial. It was easy but literally none of it should've worked like the game claimed.

I dont remember just how long it took me, but the PlayStation Trophies site estimates 80-100 hours to platinum it.

It recommends 30-40 hours for the first game, and 40-50 hours for the second game.

Damn. Looks like I have the work cut out for me.

The first 2 games mostly deal with the post game friendship/dating game, so they dont take a ton of time. Just a little patience.

V3 on the other hand... be prepared to sink some time into that one.

As in over 100 hours? I sunk over 500 hours into Pokemon Diamond although that was years ago. I can probably do it.

I did watch parts of UDG today and I looked up the plot. Still not sure if I should give DR3 a watch. I'd like to start DRV3 because that game will probably take me a week to finish. Since DR3 is 24 episodes, that'll take at least another several days until I start DRV3. Possibly even longer if I don't like the anime. Since DR3 focuses on how the DR2 cast was turned and a new killing game, I may just try watching episodes while playing DRV3. All I really care about is seeing answers to the unsolved mysteries of the first two games anyway.

I started up another game today called Star Ocean Integrity and Faithlessness while watching parts of UDG. Good grief, this Star Ocean game is atrocious. I'm leaning towards starting DRV3 tonight since I'll be fairly busy tomorrow. I at least want to see the new cast of characters.

100% agree. I disliked Toko in DR1, but she was amazing in UDG. Same with Komaru. The dynamic between those two was fantastic in UDG and really made that game for me.

Now that you're past DR2, TC, I'll tell you a bit about UDG and the sequel anime and you can judge a bit more if you want to watch those.

UDG takes place between DR1 and DR2, and stars Makoto's sister, Komaru, along with Toko. UDG gives a much clearer look at the wider world in the series, and fills in smaller lore details and serves as a solid connection between the two games. The bigger things that it answers from the earlier games are (kinda spoilers but not really, tagged just in case): What happens to the kidnapped loved ones from the DR1 motive videos, where Monokuma comes from if you were dying to know that, and a bit more about where the Junko AI came from in DR2. You also see Nagito in full despair mode during UDG.

DR3, the anime (notably not DRV3), is split into two halves. The Despair sides takes place before either game, and largely shows the DR2 cast before they were fucked up/in their normal school lives. The Future side takes place after the events of DR2 and stars Makoto, Kirigiri, and Hina along with a bunch of largely awful anime-only characters getting into a new killing game. The anime fills in mysteries like (again, not really spoilers, just leftover mysteries from the first two games): How the DR2 cast was corrupted (and honestly, it's really disappointing), what happens to the DR1 survivors after the first two games, a bit more detail on background info mentioned in the games (like the precise origins of Junko's scheming/the most horrible event in human history), and ultimately what happens to the DR2 cast. There are also some leftover mysteries from UDG that are answered here.

Honestly, I recommend watching both solely for getting the full story. The anime genuinely sucks, and UDG has a good story but just so-so gameplay, but they're both important to the lore and overall plot of the series.

Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair is a great experience. The story had some twists I did not expect and that led to many memorable moments I will not forget. The pacing of the plot was fine as well. It never felt like I was wasting my time. Every event that took place did so for a reason and I like that. Many modern games especially have a huge problem when it comes to pacing so kudos to the development team and writers. Sure, there was a lot of exposition at the beginning but it's understandable.

The investigation and class trials were far better than Danganronpa Trigger Happy Havoc. Not to say it was bad in that game or anything along those lines but Danganronpa 2 just turned up the dial on these investigations and class trials. I greatly enjoyed all of them due to their complexity. It also helps that everyone contributes to the class trials this time around. In Danganronpa THH, it was predominantly Makoto, Kyoko, and Byakuya figuring everything out. I hope this trend of the entire cast of characters contributing to the investigation and class trial continues into the next game. I also hope the Ultimate skills are utilized well like in Danganronpa 2.

I liked most of the cast in this game. Their personalities were even more colorful than the characters from Danganronpa THH and some of their designs were more over the top. However, you feel their absence when these characters die off. It's honestly kind of sad at times. Despite some of these characters seeming one dimensional, many of them have a nice amount of depth to them. Standout characters were Hajime, Chiaki, Fuyuhiko, Gundham, and Nagito.

Music is good. Loved the investigation theme. Graphics are good enough. I still love how the characters look in their portraits and the art style. Presentation is good. I prefer Hope's Peak Academy to Jabberwock Island. HPA felt more consistent and I liked the atmosphere. I didn't mind Jabberwock Island and I quickly warmed up to it. I just prefer the school ultimately. Also, most of the minigames are fine. Logic Dive gave me some trouble but that's because my SSX skills are rusty. I hated Improved Hangman's Gambit as the game went on. Probably for the same reason most people seemed to hate it. I hope it is not brought back.

Island Mode is a lot like School Mode so it's neat I have something to do after completing the main game. Same with Monomi's mode and Danganronpa IF. That was really cool of the devs to implement into the game. I liked Danganronpa 2 more than Danganronpa THH. Both are superb games but DR2 does nearly everything better.

Lastly, after completing the game, I have to rank them again.

Now that youve beaten the game, I think youre fine just going straight to V3. Honestly, the anime just gives a few stories that barely have any mention in the next game. As for UDG, I think you can just read the wiki and be fine. Youll just want to know what the main character looks like.

From what people are saying, it seems like transphobic lines will be removed from the game. I can't say what those transphobic lines even are. The only thing I remember from the original game was the main cast hinting at one of the girls being born as a boy.

I don't think anyone truly knows aside from the localization team. Just that dialogue was changed so that folks don't get upset

Weve explained how Catherine: Full Body is much more than just a remaster before, but lets give a "quick" recap.

-More than 500 unique puzzles to solve more than twice the amount in the original.

-A new Remix mode for every puzzle.

-Some puzzles have been tweaked.

-20+ brand-new, animated cutscenes that delve into character backstories, and new scenes that introduce the new character, Rin.

-Rin also appears in the nightmare puzzle world and interacts with Vincent and the sheep there, and can halt threats while Vincent climbs.

Going to start the graduation after I finish a few errands. I have went over some of the evidence beforehand. Hajime is definitely the survivor from the Reserve Department mass suicide. Hajime and the rest of the DR2 cast minus Chiaki since she's not real were probably the Remnants of Despair captured and placed in this hologram world in order to rehabilitate. The Remnants of Despair may be older than they appear in the actual game going off over Hiyoko's picture in the article. It was a nice touch of Makoto to use 11037 as the password. It was nice going back into Hope's Peak Academy for one final investigation and seeing Alter Ego again. The virus that is running amok in the program is probably some sort of A.I. influenced by Junko. Since it created Monokuma and imitated the first killing game, the rogue A.I. may have taken Junko's personality as well.

This means all the characters aren't actually dead which is great. Sadly, best girl Chiaki isn't going to return. Bummer.

I think Junko was the leader of this Ultimate Despair group. That may mean that the DR2 group were members of the Ultimate Despair organization which would make sense given Milan regaining her memories and acting the way she did. Same with Nagito possessing Junkos hand before they arrived at the island.

What is going on? The screen keeps glitching and dead characters are appearing. Chiaki said she was created for something so I'm thinking this is part of some simulation but that could be a stretch.

Edit: It's nice seeing the dead characters again, though.

Another Edit: And now this is becoming really strange. Nagito looked to have Junko's hand even though she was crushed to death during the events of DR1. Now, Hajime is in Hope's Peak Academy?
