Hajime and Nagito are going around and looking for clues together like a tag team duo. Mikan performed the autopsy and Mahiru used her photos to give a location on everyone present. Ibuki used her hearing to help determine what happened when the blackout occurred. Seems like the characters are using their Ultimate talents to be useful which is good. As for whodunnit, it wasn't anyone in the dining room since Byakuya was killed from underneath the room. It wasn't Chiaki or Fuyohiko. Chiaki was outside standing guard yes however I suspect the only way to get under the room was from inside the old cabin. Therefore, that eliminates those two. This just leaves Peko and Teruteru, I believe. Peko was not in the office room like she was supposed to be because she's been having stomach problems all night likely from the food she ate. That only leaves Teruteru. I don't think the knife is what killed Byakuya. IIRC, the kitchen was missing a few items such as maybe the skewers.Teruteru could have used a skewer to killer Byakuya. The knife and tape were under the table to use as glow in the dark to lure someone there when the blackout took place. Also, the irons set up in the storage room may have caused the blackout. In my house, when I use an iron in one socket and something else powerful in the same socket, that causes the power to go out for that room. Maybe all those irons plus the lamp caused the blackout. Teruteru also had time to memorize the layout of the old cabin and concoct a plan since he was cooking in there. My deductions could be bogus so I'll save the trial for when I wake up. However, I truly think that Teruteru is the killer. Everyone else have solid alibis I think. --- |

They seem to be a much more lively bunch compared to the DR1 cast but that may be due to the killing game bit having started yet. I don't have any real opinions on Hajime Hinata yet. Nagito is cool and he's the Ultimate Lucky Student this time. I could see him going crazy later on but we'll see. Byakuya hasn't changed besides his weight. Not sure how he plays into this given the events of the first game. Hopefully, he survives. Gundham Tanaka, the Ultimate Breeder, is weird. I like Kazuichi Soda, the Ultimate Mechanic. Hope he makes it. Teruteru, the Ultimate Cook, is creepy. Watch him either be murdered or try to kill someone. I could see it. I don't really care for Nekomaru, the Ultimate Team Manager, but I felt that way about Sakura at first so this could change. Fuyuhiko, the Ultimate Yakuza, is a little shit. Mondo was more intimidating. Aside from his Yakuza connections, he's nothing. Akane Owari, the Ultimate Gymnast, reminds me a little bit of Aoi. Similar skin complexion and large breasts despite that not really fitting for their title. I would be surprised of she didn't make it to the end. Chiaki Nanami, the Ultimate Gamer, is awesome. She better make it until the end. I wish I knew a girl like her in actual real life. All the girls I know who play video games stick to Call of Duty or Fortnite. They never branch out and try new things. Sonia Nevermind, the Ultimate Princess, is also great. Don't know why but I like her for now. I kind of expect her to be murdered, though. Hiyoko, the Ultimate Traditional Dancer, sucks. Mahiru Koizumi, the Ultimate Photographer, seems more normal and well adjusted compared to some of the other characters. I hope she survives the killing game. Mikan Tsumiki, the Ultimate Nurse, reminds me a little of Chihiro. I can't get a read on her like the other characters. Something feels off. I like Ibuki, the Ultimate Musician. She's cool. Don't want her to die, either... Finally, there's Peko, the Ultimate Swordswoman. No real opinion on her. She seems a little boring compared to the wild personalities of the others. No guesses on what will happen to her. I'm going to go ahead and say that Nagito, Byakuya, Akane, Mahiru, and Chiaki make it to the end of the game though I hope I'm wrong and more characters survive. Those are my initial impressions so far. They will probably change as I progress throughout the game. Now, for the important part: Chiaki > Sonia > Ibuki > Mahiru > Akane >> Mikan >>> Peko >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Hiyoko Popcorn_Fairy posted... | The_Scarecrow 05/17/19 12:06:08 PM #152 | Alright, so those final few hours of the game were pretty crazy but a lot of it makes sense especially with the little things I noticed throughout the game like how the gym had sixteen chairs and how "Junko" seemed very surprised when she died as if it wasn't supposed to happen.The real Junko was pretty interesting with her constant personality changes and what she revealed about the outside world. If I recall correctly, they never actually said what "The Tragedy" was but I was pretty tired so maybe I missed it. I did like the final trial but it went on for a long time. I was starting to become a little impatient. My overall thoughts with the game is that I liked it a lot. The story was pretty good though I still have lingering questions that I assume will be answered in later games. I loved the class trials although most of them felt pretty easy. The second and fourth class trial were the best in my opinion. The gameplay was fine. I never played Ace Attorney so I can't really compare the two since I know people do. I'm hoping the quality of the class trials only go up from here in later games. I really want to be guessing who the killer is up until the last second. Characters were great. It did feel overwhelming being introduced to so many characters at once but the game balanced them out pretty well. The game did a superb job of making me care for some of these characters. The "Free Time" system where I spent time with characters was nice and reminded me of modern Persona games. Certain characters obviously got more time to shine than other like Kyoko and Byakuya and that's fine with me. I do wish going forward that the cast is overall more intelligent. I am definitely looking forward to what other Ultimate students are introduced. I liked the art style and graphics. They were well done and fit the game. I greatly enjoyed some of the music as well. The soundtrack did a splendid job of engaging me with the game. I feel like Japanese games always do remarkably well with their soundtracks. I've been fiddling around with School Mode before I move on to Danganronpa 2. I am not quite ready yet to leave some of these character behind since again, I've grown attached to some of them. It would be nice if some of them returned in the sequels like in the Zero Escape series. Speaking of Zero Escape, I hope this series doesn't follow in ZE footsteps where the second game turns up the anime by 11 and the final game has some bullshit ending but we'll see. My reasoning is the tattoo on her hand was that of a wolf. Still not entirely sure what is going on here. Someone definitely saw Sakura right before she died. I'm thinking either Hiro or Toko are lying since Hiro had the same cady wrapper Sakura had and Toko's name was written in that magazine. It was also Sakura who stepped in that chemical on the ground in the lab. The rec room door was locked with a chair and there seemed to be no other exit from the rec room. Sakura also vomited blood before she died indicating that she was poisoned. Maybe she took her own life or something. I don't know, man. Just throwing something out there. Maybe I'm missing some vital clues but I really don't know. Can't be suicide now that I think about it because then there wouldn't be an execution nor would anyone graduate. --- |
