And I can understand being disappointed on that front, but I'd argue the worldbuilding in the movies has always been pretty bad! It was more of a focus in the prequels, but those dropped the ball in other areas.To me, the OT didn't need to have as much explanation because it was all new. It was easier to accept the Emperor and building a Death Star since we had no knowledge of the world. But in this new trilogy, we had things left as they were after RotJ so I think worldbuilding matters more now. We need to know how we got to RotJ to where we are now. --- I'm not sure who this MI guy is but he sounds sexy. |
